Wow Alex, that Lux looks brand new! If I'm ever up your way I think I'll bring my Contour for you to clean up!! Ha ha.

Another good vac AlexElectroluxes94! Its a pain when you cant get the brushrolls or other bits for these cleaners any more isn't it? You cant get them for the TP2 either. Cant believe that the aftermarket don't do them any more, after all, the TP2 only went out of production about 12 years ago, and they are classed as obsolete already.
Is Alex going to do a youtube video of it and show us the bag full light working, and the motor running? Always like to see your vids - they are very informative and interesting.

PS - that old white brushroll looks more like a brand new Dyson brushroll! (due to the number of bristles it has left)

Hi Steve, thanks, I think even the contours only stopped in about 1999/2000, I think the Turbopower 2 brushrolls are still available on eBay and such but the Contour brushrolls, NO WHERE.
I will be making a video on the Airstream very soon, and you will here how much of a growler it is with that very stiff bristled brushroll!! Which is most certainly unlike the original one it had, that's for sure.

Thanks for the complements as always, Steve. :)

Alex.

If you can find a TP2 brushroll ANYWHERE I will be most surprised as I trawled the net for hours the other night looking for one for my TP1000.
They have all gone now - none to be found anywhere. They are still out there for the TP1 and the Turbomaster though, just not the TP2.

BTW, its a very interesting place for the bag full light - right at the bottom of the bag door - more noticeable when in use I bet as well. I miss those lights on modern bagged machines - they were the reason so many users failed not to notice a problem with the suction. No light means ignorance by the user of a blockage = a burnt out motor = more profit for the companies as the user has to buy another new vac.

Sebo Fan, I did say they were still out there for the TP1 - the one you link to is for the Tp1 - the original dirty fan model.
The TP2 - the second model of Turbopower with the clean fan you cant get them for now.

All of them are now obsolete - there are only old stocks left of these brushrolls, and Qualtex no longer manufacture them. That goes for the TP1, TP2, TP1000, and TP3.
The only chance of getting them again is if someone lists one on Ebay as a new old stock part.
This is the biggest problem with the old bagged vacs nowadays - it just isn't profitable for the aftermarket to keep making parts for them as no-one wants them now apart from collectors - and I'm sure that the aftermarket aren't going to start production again of TP2 brushrolls just because a few collectors want them. Sadly that's the state of affairs we have today: no profit = no production.

Interesting that - it says its obsolete but lets you add 800!! of them to the basket - I don't think it does a stock check at the time, and when it comes to pay it will take your details - but will not be processed when a member of staff comes to pick the order due to lack of stock. Not a very good website. The fact that it says **Obsolete** means that there are no stocks available so why let you add 800 of them to the basket, seems a bit stupid really as I cant believe that that have 800 of them in stock when nowhere else, not even Qualtex themselves have any left.
