Here is my Electrolux turbo 2 that I got in a job lot with a Hoover Turbopower junior, I believe this would of been BOL, the 500s came out in the 70s and were intended to be replaced by the short lived 600's, however they were so popular that Electrolux continued production even when the 600's were replaced with the contours, Electrolux tried to replace the now called turbo 2 with the Glider but it never did, If I have got any of that wrong feel free to add some insight , here is the before and after pics hope you like them.

Inside the bag housing, when I took the old bag out it hadn't been sealed at the bottom.

Dirty buggers, you can see the VERY over stretched belt in the back ground.

All parts and now washed and left to dry pending a polish before re-assembly.

And it begins getting the wire from the motor and up the back body is an fiddly pain in the back side.

Showing the rather bland control panel, earlier models had handle on/off as well as an adjustable bag whistle, top end models had an electronic variable speed control as well as a bag light.
