Nice score! Yeah, that's a no-frills vac, but it's a well-built cleaner with the time-proven Eureka F & G design. Looks to be in acceptable shape, too; a good candidate for a thorough clean and polish to restore its original luster and eradicate the offensive odor.
Out of curiosity, what is the cord's length? I know some of the budget models were equipped with 15-footers; the standard being 20-feet.
In case you are unaware, the 600-Series was comprised of both uprights and canisters for Kmart and some other large department stores.
I even located a 1989 Kmart ad featuring the model 630 (type not listed) along with other F & Gs - the mid-range 4.8-amp model 631 and top-range 6.5-amp ESP model 2118 - and other contemporaneous sellers.
Enjoy your newest vacuum cleaner acquisition and keep us posted on your reconditioning efforts of it.
