The usual story, discovered her on the Land of Ebay, low starting bid, so I placed a bid on but thought it would go for far too much, but, to my surprise, I won her for £10.50 ($13.46) Complete with tools, box and manual.

It's in pretty good condition (usage/motor wise) regarding its age, very few light scratches and scuffs, the scuffs of which were easily removed. However, she had been summoned to the shed, and as a result, was very dusty and mucky and unfortunately, the box and manual had gotten damp at one point.

But, as for the machine, nothing a nice hot soapy bath and lots of TLC couldn't fix!

Before pictures as usual, followed by afters.

(Again, apologies for the pictures flipping upright!)[this post was last edited: 6/27/2017-17:53]

Andy,

I didn't know they were still using the DAM motor in March 1982! Though, I am sure while they already used the Spirit motors on our Portapowers during 1981, they continued using the DAM motors for the export machines (and I know the DAM upright itself, which to Europeans is the Convertible and to Aussies as the Dynamatic) was still being sold for export into the early 1990s), which hers is.
