You would be surprised to know that this is actually brighter than a Kirby Classic series headlight.

I have this same junior, mine was even more of a bargain at £3 from a carboot sale but the light dudnt work. Now I've replaced the bulb god knows how many times and it just doesn't seem to last!
Yes I know the bumper is not original...

DysonDestijl - thanks, you have a nice Dirtsearcher there. Since I have tried to get the brushes to seat in on this Dirtsearcher...About 3 times now! And still arcing! argh, so, in total, it has been runing about an 1hr15 and the headlight is working fine but it does flicker ever so slightly but only if you look at the bulb and not the shine it casts on the carpet. I think that is caused by the vibrating of the beater bars! Have you or anyone else noticed this?

Unfortunately I can't say it's beater bars as my brushroll is shot and it can't be used with a belt in place otherwise it sounds like its grinding itself up!

Hey....
In case you are not aware your 1354A is a VERY early example- In fact it dates from the first month of production in January 1970.....
The bag appears to be darker Blue than the usual_ is it cloth or plasaticised??
