Nice! I like those early Swivel Tops. They seem better built, more powerful, and quieter than the later squat ones.

Is the other wand curved to allow you to use the floor tool at a more normal angle?

I believe these would have originally come with the "flip over" rug and floor tool.

They are strong

I have the two-tone salmon colored model. Heavy. There's a caddie that came with these to wheel them around that attachments are kept on and you can wrap the cord around. There should be a blower port on the lower side behind a removable cap, it just pulls off. GE has always made good motors.
 
Yeah the curved wand goes upward at floor level, they take some getting used to due to the sharp angle, it can seem odd at first.
