Hi
I just joined the forum and I'm exited about this new venture Into vacuum cleaners. I just picked up this Electrolux xxx I believe it's a 1947 with the research I did. I know they are hard to date. This has 3 screws coming out of the housing with 5/16 nuts on them. It should just pull right out but it's stuck I don't want to damage anything including the canister itself the sheet metal seems like it bends easy and I don't want to start prying on it. I was hoping someone with experience with these older models can help. I got it home and it's in good condition runs fine. I didn't even clean it out and it picks up a soup can. I just want to do an overall cleaning and grease the bearings. I'm a electrician and have a good understanding of motors. I will post pictures of the vacuum. Thanks
