I looks like a model 61 to me. Still a very nice vacuum and an excellent carpet cleaner.

It's definitely a model 61. Model 60's have the handle release pedal in the HANDLE, not on the base. Model 60's are rare, model 61's are - well - not rare.

Could I see the underside of the cleaner please? It may be a model 60 "special" that was rebuilt by Hoover.
