Perhaps some extension of knowledge regarding the motors used and to help steer me into the quality side of things.. I don't see any stamping on these motors to discern which they are.

I just picked up an Electrolux System 90 with a bad motor and was wanting to find out if I can use the motor of an AP 100 inside? The Electrolux AP 100 is another unit being given away and had a few damaged parts. Good for salvage which would also allow me to make parts available :) Thank you.

Kirbylux77 Here is my 1974 Golden Jubilee... Don't mind the PN as I have it apart for a cleaning and stuck it together for this photo! I too pick up all canisters by Electrolux :) :D

Huskyvacs, Looks like a newer Golden Jubilee without the stickers and the different hose. 1975 perhaps. Mine is the 1974 50th anniversary and it has a banana style handle lol. The PN looks like Ambassador model perhaps if not central.

I have a correct 1974 golden jubilee. Your hose and PN are not correct. But same, I would buy it even for 50.00!

What is the possibility that someone may have a hose for this model that is electric internally and made of vinyl? OEM preferred. More importantly is for this will be my daily driver!

I have decided to attempt and remove the handle end of the electric hose and see about making a repair to the wires. It is not the pistol grip type but the earlier style. I was able to remove the handle part but not yet figured out what to do with the plastic and metal cuff at the hose part...

I couldn't find your photo album however, I had phoned the local vacuum shop and a compatible new oem hose made of vinyl with a pistol grip for this Golden J is 320 CAD !!!! Ouch.

I am extremely curious now.. I have a genuine oem vinyl hose that I would sacrifice for the Golden Jubilee. :-)

Countryguy, how do you go about changing the hose ends? I thought that was not possible? I have a vinyl hose for the plastic body which I would like to use on the older metal body.. :)

Thank you countryguy! We are an hour and a half away from one another. :) I bought my Ambassador from North Bay many years ago and it has the Ottoman with it! I have grown up with these Electrolux canisters and it just isn't the same listening to another brand in my home :D..

I am in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. I don't think the floor brush I received was original as the exterior and interior are both blue. The strip of bristles is missing on it. I do plan on using this as my daily driver.. nothing like the scent of an Electrolux brushed motor in the morning...
