Your least favorite is my most favorite
I love the gold L’s honestly. To me that’s a wonderful “score”. The blue ones are classic to me and next in line for favorite and my least favorites are the early cream and bronze colored ones.
The gold and creamy white was popular in the mid to late 70’s. It replaced pink, avaocado, teals, turquoise’s of the 50s and 60s in a big way. My grandmothers house was decorated with this scheme in the early 70s and she had a medium stained and varnished hardwoods and doors and trim throughout. The gold of the Golden Jubilee and Super J and last model L really fit the decor of the home and is why she upgraded from her blue 1205 to the Golden jubilee and then added an Olympia later to replace the upstairs blue model L.
By today’s standards the gold is actually coming back in decor in a modest way. More in a brushed or matte or metallic finish which these ore rather than a polished finish like gold polished brass doorknobs and cabinet knobs were. So a golden Jubilee or a gold L will actually not look out of style all that much.
