    Hoover Legacy

My mother bought this in 1992 after my father destroyed her other secondary vacuum. It was a concept one I believe. This one served well till it was replaced but I may make this a daily driver since I'm so pleased with the results of its new motor.

It's not cynical You're just stating reality.

    New Water Infomercial Vacuum

Its looks odd to me. It seems like the tools, wands and hoses are of good quality but that claim about "Piano grade wire enforcement " had me dying laughing. Cheap piano string wire from China is full of impurities and can snap like a twig in a strong wind (I'm a piano technician so Ii speak...

    Hoover Legacy

I finally fixed this thing up. This was my mother's secondary vacuum that she used when she didn't have time to pull out her favorite Rainbow D3. When she upgraded to the Rainbow E3 she bought a Hoover windtunnel self propelled (and me one also as a gift) for her secondary (company will be here...

    Panasonic Quiet Force

Seriously thinking about dropping a chunk of money to get a Panasonic Quiet Force. With the news of them discontinuing production, I'm getting antsy to find one. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they nice or just pretty to my eye?

    The Great HEPA Debate

@durango159 Thank you!! I'm very picky about my machines from the looks to the pitch the motor puts out when used. That is and isn't a Hoover Advantage. When I bought it, the outside, bag, handle, mostly the motor were in fabulous condition. The plastic base had taken a hit and had a crack, the...

    Electrolux at Service Merchadise

I'm sure several on here remember Service Merchadise. I some what remember they carried Electrolux in both their catalog and show room. My question is does anybody know what models they were and possibly have the pictures from the catalog?

    The Great HEPA Debate

So many interesting points brought up here. Out all the machines I own (which is a small collection), I've found that air flow improved, the bags hold a lot more dirt before any notice of suction loss and yet to see any over heating or strain on the motors. These bags seem to hold a lot more...

    Relationships with local vac shops...

There are a few shops in my town that have been mixed experiences with. The friendliest store is way on the other side of town (30 min drive) and keeps odd hours. The local Oreck/Miele store is extremely nice but extremely expensive. And of course a couple of crooks in mid town. I was...

    Researching Vacuums

I recommend Riccar Vibrance. It has all the features you need, it's American made, you can usually find them at a local vacuum shop. Going local will give you the chance to "try before you buy". If you find a reputable dealer then it'll be easy to get bags, repairs or any other assistance you...

    The Great HEPA Debate

I've not noticed a difference using a vacuum that "HEPA" vs. micro filteration. Both seem to work very well for me along with water filtering. I grew up with my mom using a Rainbow D3 so I never had issues until my dad broke it and replaced it with a Hoover Legacy hard shell. We had to buy air...

    The Great HEPA Debate

For people like me, filteration makes a huge difference. I have asthma and severe allergies combined with little storage space effects what machines I keep in my collection. I use the cloth hepa bags in several machines with great results. I use them in my Oreck Buster B to clean out pianos...

    Church vacuum

royal it is! The pews don't move but there is oak hardwood flooring under them so no worries. It's the 112' aisles and chancel that are carpeted. I think the 18" would be a perfect choice and if those belts last two months then I'll be screaming for joy.

    Church vacuum

I'd love to get a Kirby for this job but I don't think Kirby is OSHA approved and that is an issue. Would the Royal Commercial Vacuum be good in this situation?

    Church vacuum

So in helping clean my church yesterday I had to change the belt again in the commercial Hoover Guardsmen. This has been either weekly of bi-weekly thing for this vacuum since the day it was purchased (last year) to replace an Oreck for cleaning the sanctuary. I've checked the bearings, greased...

    How I clean the church

@tolivac the kids have cookies and crackers but don't ask me about the glitter. @electrolux137 that R looks sweet! The organ tuners have also used the long hose of mine to do cleaning in the cramped swell division of the pipe organ here. The only problem we have cleaning out sanctuary carpet...

    How I clean the church

i saved this Electrolux model F that I used in 05' through 08' at music venue. When the venue shut down and we moved out, I forgot the vacuum. Last year I snuck into the empty building. The roof had collapsed and vandals had trashed the rest. I went back to the supply closet and the Electrolux...

2015 VCCC Convention and Vacuum Musuem PART 2

Perhaps the convention will take place in Branson MO in the future with hundreds of hotels to pick from, inexpensive air port, and Shoji Tabuchi (as seen on TV from Finding Bigfoot). From all the pics posted above, convention looks like a blast. Fingers crossed I'll make the next one
