Some old vacuums outperform the new ones

My Hoover 102 still runs great! I love the ol metal boys.

Winning Vacuum Bid Turns Into Dilemma! 😔

The seller should have honored the sale instead of pulling it because his "friend" threw a silly tantrum. Now he created a mess. Tell em to shove it.

    expensive kirby 518

The most I’ve paid was $400 for an all original and extremely superb condition 512 and $300 for an original 505. The bags n cords are what really makes the price as they’re usually replaced.I looked back on eBay and they’ve dropped the price a bit but still have a reserve. Dollar signs in this...

I don’t care what model(but I do want a floating one so I guess that counts out the earliest) Would prefer all original! Thanks!

    Wanting prewar kirby

I saw some on ebay but the prices are ridiculous for the lack of what's original left on them. I'd really love to add an original one to my collection! I'm looking for later c and r's. Basically the pre 500 lookalikes. Anybody has one that they just don't have a bond with? Thanks.

    WOW!!!!!!!

lol I saw these and put an $200 offer on one of them..I felt was more than generous enough.. They barely budged. What's the point of offers if you're only willing to flex a few bucks. I'd REALLY REALLY love to have prewar Kirby but I'd only pay these prices if they were all original. The bags...

Got these two beauties at a vac shop.

I got the Connie to float again. Was badly dented around the rim allowing air to escape. So it drug like a dead weight on the floor. I plugged the holes and leveled the base with silicone. Now it glides weightlessly again.

    Blue eureka canister

I need to find more attachments as I can’t stand that weird flappy beater bar nozzle thing it’s got lol. Nice one!

I removed the casters as one was busted anyways. The rim is bent sadly but I’m sealing it with silicone so it doesn’t leak. As I realized. We’ll see how it turns out. It did give me some promise as I plugged some of the leaks and it attempted to float. Somebody crippled the poor lemon drop.

    Blue eureka canister

I don’t know much about this model. But I love the color. Don’t think it was used much.

My only canister vacs. Was told old folks often drop these off to upgrade. That’s a long time to wait!

    All original 512 Kirby

Alright, time for some photos of the 512(Ol Sarge) I got awhile ago. He’s a real stunner. All original. Even still retains most of his shine despite the corrosion. Don’t think he was used much. Bet he was stored away in a good place to be so nice and clean.
