    when you polish it.....put the mothers on WITH the steel wool, let it dry and then buff the CRAP out of it!

    use mothers polish on the aluminum and use brasso for the emptor......for the other parts just clean them and i recommend using the "magic clean" sponges (thanks Terry) they will get rid of anything, just make sure you wash it off again because the sponge can leave a film. it even works on the...

    Red/White Connie is model 434, promo model 1962 ONLY. The colors are canton red and pearl white. About 25,000 made. Thats probably the rarest of the Connies. This is Jeff(hoover1060) posting under his better half's name.

    I have gotten BIT!!

    lux is right.........you can't go wrong with any kirby!!! the parts on a lot of them are interchangable so parts are not that difficult to find unless you get REALLY old ones. the 60's and up are usually a pretty good bet. They are a lot of fun to restore!!! GOOD LUCK!
