By the way...

When a Kirby belt or any numerous vacuum belt that hooks on the fan shaft breaks, does it get sucked up into the fan. If it does, I predict disaster.

i would have to find my pictures but here are my favorites...

first of all there is NO bad Kirby!!!! I love ALL the baby Kirby's......they are so cute! my favorite is the D50. The one(s) that I treasure most are the 505 and the 510.....thank you Morgan for completing my machine for me (cord etc....) The tradition is my favorite color so you HAVE to love that! BUT............if i were going to "CLEAN" i would use my Heritage II...... the legend is the same machine but a different color but they did something to the Heritage II that they didn't do to the other vacs..........LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CLEANER it has a different silver plate..........it has SO much suction it is unreal. btw.......the bigger older heads on the Heritage II were the first ones to come out.....they later changed them to the rounded more smooth heads (if i remember correctly)i bought mine in 1987 brand new and it had the rounded head....the other one reminds me of a shark!! LOL hammerhead. as far as the G series........Kirby can keep it.... I don't care to have anything past a Legend. Just not the same. Not that they are bad but it is a lot of plastic now and I don't mind "pushing" my kirby! The first time I used a self propelled kirby it felt REALLY strange. I'd rather use my muscles.

you go boy!!!use those muscles!!! I am going to have to watch for a Heritage II.

Mike,

The Heritage II had three renditions....1)the large rug nozzle, 2) the "cut-away" nozzle WITHOUT BPI (brush performance indicator), and 3) The cut-away nozzle WITH BPI!

Joe...it's not impossible for a broken belt to be sucked up though it's not likely. If it does, you will hear it and I doubt it would hurt the machine.

Mike, you're right! I don't dislike the G series Kirbys but I would have made a few changes if was designing it. The handle assembly is too far back so the center of gravity is off. I also wish the bag was bigger....
