I had a Scooba. Got a refund after it was repaired 2 times in 6 months and still didn't hold a battery charge.

I have a Roomba 530 with AeroVac. It only cleans the top soil off the carpet along with a fair amount of pet hair, but it really is convenient to have.

    Dyson vs. Royal Everlast/Kirby

Family friend of ours, got pressured into buying a second hand Kirby in excess of $1500. She was a 70 year old widow on a pension. Department of Fair Trading was called. Nothing they hadn't heard before. She ended up returning the vacuum and getting a full refund.

    My first Dyson ...

The internal hose for some models just screws into the rubber fitting. I don't believe it should need to be replaced.

    Dyson No Loss Of Suction

The buildup of dust in the inner chamber does not inhibit the performance of the machine. It is not in the path of the airflow... There is some airflow there... But not the primary airflow..

    Dyson question

Yeah I have had it happen before... I find using hand cream before vacuuming stops it.

What about a nifty Dyson "Automatic Vac Wash"?

There is no real need to sterilise the cyclone assembly... Its only going to be come a) unsanitary as soon as it is placed in the machine, and b) Average Joe shouldn't be cleaning it themselves...

What about a nifty Dyson "Automatic Vac Wash"?

I don't see the need... Under normal household use there is not really any need to clean it out IMHO. I have a DC02 from ages ago... Still working brilliant... Same with my DC15 (which I have put so much dust through).

    Dyson filters

    New Vacuum from the UK...

LOL... These vacs always fascinated me as a kid :P

what did I do to my dyson?

If it makes it in the upright position I don't believe it would be the clutch... nor in the vacuuming position with the brush bar off... The brush bar should be tight and hard to turn when in the vacuuming position but not when it is in the upright... Then it should be loose...
