Back in November 2006, One of my mother's friends gave me a Kirby Sentria with the standard attachments and with the Carpet Shampoo System attachment. He bought it in August 2006 for $1500. I just wanted to let you know what I got for Christmas 2006.

I also have the Bissell Big Green canister carpet shampooer. This is the same machine that Mary Ellen Pinkham used to sell in the 1990s. It does a excellent job of shampooing carpets/rugs/stairways/furniture/car interiors.

I also have the Kenmore carpet shampooer floor polisher and the Kirby vacuum cleaner with the carpet shampooer attachment. Both machines do a excellent job of shampooing carpets/rugs.

This is how I shampoo carpets/rugs: I move all of the furniture out of the room. I vacuum thoroughly with one of my Kirby's. I then shampoo with the Rug Doctor or the Hoover. Kirby uprights and Royal All Metal uprights are excellent for carpets/rugs/hard floors and above the floor cleaning. Kirby's are also able to shampoo carpets/rugs/stairways/furniture/car interiors.

IMHO, Hoover really improved the Convertibles tremendously when they introduced the Type A bag and the front conversion attachment set in 1977. I never liked the Type C bag and the rear conversion attachment set.

Human, To convert your 1982 Kirby Heritage to accept the Micron Magic G4/G5 disposable bags, You need a Heritage II outer bag assembly or these Heritage II parts: Mini Emtor/Fill Tube/Bag Adapter. I hope this helps.
