    🎉Happy 115th Anniversary, Eureka USA!! 🥳

Thanks for sharing the ad! That same person from the video also has the hand vac that came with the upright (shown below). And I have one of those hand vacs as well. Interesting that they swapped the logos between mine and his (mine is the direct match in the ad). I've used one before that...

    🎉Happy 115th Anniversary, Eureka USA!! 🥳

I might have a terrible memory but was there any other Eurekas that had the anniversary logo on it? I know this Bravo model had one on (I actually was the one who requested this video). Eureka has been or was my second favorite brand (I'd say Lindhaus now has that honor of being my second...

    The pumpkins have landed.

I love Dial-A-Matics, I regretted passing up on one of the orange models from my local thrift store.

    Filterqueen Majestic

I agree, the older ones were better made. And yours Tom is one of my all time favorite models, that'd be cool if you put your Filter Queen on top of your Speed Queen set and take a picture of them together, when I first discovered SQ I was thinking they were were related to FQ. Anyways, it...

    Oreck XL 40th Anniversary

Yup it was made on the 52nd day of 2003.

    Oreck XL 40th Anniversary

Being the 40th Anniversary model, the company started back in 1963 so that means this would've been made in 2003. I can confirm it if I see the info sticker up close.

    Simplicity date code

Third quarter of 2002. 2 represents the year it was made in the 2000's and C represents the quarter of the year it was made at. That would be one of the very first 7850 models ever sold.

Hoover Anniversary Windtunnel Supreme or Royal Cleanseeker ProSeries Rebadge

Honestly, performance wise both motors are pretty similar as I can't tell the difference. I also can't say which one actually lasted longer than the other. Normally the older the more reliable. But for the sound, I much prefer the older style motors. Has a much more pleasant tone in my opinion...

A black 12 amp Hoover Sprint?

This was the one I saw at my local Target and that was I believe the very last Elite I've ever seen sold through stores. Coincidentally I saw it at Target just shortly after my trip in Minneapolis where I've used one at a hotel I was staying at. I definitely agree about going back, it'd be...

    Singer Lazer Storm

They did indeed. And it's funny now they've compared it to an actual Oreck in that informercial. I'd gladly take the XL21 over it. Even I'd also take that Hoover Breathe Easy and Kirby G3 over it as well.

    Central vac recomendations

There are also 240 volt single motor units available from MD, actually that would be more ideal to have for a newly constructed home.

How do I remove the fan cover on my Bissell Powerforce (71Y7)?

I wouldn't bother trying to pry it open especially for such a cheap vacuum. Chances are by putting it back together, it'd sound even worse since it's not really designed to be taken apart for service. I too have a Powerforce that came with no bag and I'm only going to clean out the motor by...

    Singer Lazer Storm

I think I remember that ad. But I always thought it was called the Smart Space Power Vac.

    Riccar R27

I agree, black looked so much better. The only model that I liked better in white over black would be their old Radiance Premium RADP, the newer R40P in black I thought looked hideous.

Wirecutter (aka NY Times) article about vacuum enthusiasts.

They also posted one about their recommendations on vacuums they liked. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-upright-canister-vacuums/

    Central vac recomendations

I don't think it's ideal to have a TOL dual motor unit in that size of a house. There's a reason why there are other models built from MD that are recommended for smaller sized homes. In fact if I had a house that size, it'd be WAY too much for me to handle a TOL dual motor unit. Not only it'd...

MD G23 240V Dual Motor Central Vacuum Cleaner System

I get that. One of the great things about MD Manufacturing is they're one of the only few companies left who still makes them like they used to, actually they're also one of those companies who makes them better than before over the years in my opinion. Like stronger motors, upgraded filtration...

    Electrolux vacuums to become extinct?

I'm beginning to think this now makes more sense to me. Because it'd explain how Sanitaire came out with their VPS uprights that were sold in both red and black (don't know if they also made a blue one but wouldn't be surprised if so).

Anyone else think the pre "ball" Dysons had better Bin/Cyclone designs?

Yes, at least from my experience of what I've seen they worked very well at keeping the pre-motor filter cleaner than the rest of the other multi cyclonic vacuums I've used. Not like brand new clean but clean where I probably wouldn't have to wash the filter out every time I'd use it. Regarding...

A black 12 amp Hoover Sprint?

It could be just me but I think it is burgundy from the looks of it. Or perhaps it is black. That Sprint reminds me of the very last Elite model ever sold (minus the commercial models) that had two different blue colors, one lighter and one darker.
