Is there a way to tell the manufacture date within the serial number of a Simplicity machine, specifically the 7 Series 7850? I'm looking at some used ones and would like to be able to tell how old they are.

Contact Dysonman1, he used to work for Tacony Corporation. If I remember correctly though, the first 2 digits have something to do with the year and time of year a vacuum was manufactured.

Third quarter of 2002. 2 represents the year it was made in the 2000's and C represents the quarter of the year it was made at. That would be one of the very first 7850 models ever sold.
