    Does anybody remember?

Thanks for the input guys! Cole, the power nozzle looked like that. My stepmom's was white with metal wands though. I am fuzzy on the exact shape & look of the tank, but that one doesn't look as I remember from what I recall. Seems her tank was not plastic & did not have a top mounted tool...

    Does anybody remember?

A Douglas canister vacuum from the late 70's or early 80's? My stepmom had one & I always wanted to play with it. It had a power nozzle and as I recall was white. So far all I have seen in posts is the small portable Douglas carvac. I am curious as to what the canister model was and if any of...

    Kenmore canister memories

My dad bought my mom a new Kenmore canister for their anniversay. It was in either 1986 or 1987. I was by far more thrilled with it than mom was! LOL It replaced our Hoover Convertible that was long since falling apart. It was an ivory color with chocolate brown trim & attachments. It lasted til...

**Garage Sale Find** Hoover Dial A Matic

Thanks for the compliments guys! Glad you guys like it as much as I do. Tyler you might have a point. However the attachments were with the vac at the sale in a bag hanging on it. I would assume that the elderly man who owned it probably bought it new back in the day w/ attachments. Of course...

**Estate Sale Find** Regina Powerteam Electrikbroom

Thanks for the compliments guys. Andy, the suction I would say is so so, not real great but enough. I might compare it to the suction of an Dirt Devil handvac which I had back in the day that had attachments. Chase, do you have any pics of your model? Would like to see them if you do.

**Estate Sale Find** Regina Powerteam Electrikbroom

It's Fun! I love it! picks up a surprising amount of dirt too considering the size of the motor. Seems the power nozzle is overly noisy & rattles though. I have cleaned it up & greased the bearings. Maybe just the way they were & the fact its very old brittle plastic??

**Garage Sale Find** Hoover Dial A Matic

Thanks Jimmy! I appreciate the explanation of how the tool holder is used. It all makes sense now! I will add the upholstery tool I have from one of my other DAM's & post some other pics asap.

**Garage Sale Find** Hoover Dial A Matic

So I found this Dial A Matic a couple weeks ago at a garage/estate sale. I was going to have to leave & run to the atm to get cash as I was out. But the very nice people who were having the sale said take it, enjoy it. They were wanting to get rid of what was left at the end of the sale. Their...

**Estate Sale Find** Regina Powerteam Electrikbroom

Found this at an estate sale, gave her a spa treatment & new belt & she looks pretty good for her age. Always wanted one of these as a kid. It even came with the attachments which look as if they were only ever used a couple of times. I grabbed it & took it to the checkout table, the lady...

Graham that's a beauty! Love how it polished up. And I agree that the black bag does compliment the machines lines. What a wonderful addition to your collection.

Spa atreatments on a few HOOVERS

Memories... That's the first vacuum my mom had when I was a kid. I remember running it around the house at 2 years old. My grandma bought it for her, buying one for herself & one for mom. Except theirs had the bright blue bag that's on the right machine with the base on the left. Is the left...

Kirby Tradition like new rebuild and photo fun!

Wil that looks like an awesome restoration! I love the blue color of the Tradition. My sister had one in the mid 80's that I used to love playing with when I was at her house. Sometimes I would get to use it in canister mode to vacuuum out her van which was always a thrill.

    Broom Style Hoover Lark

I have one too! Derek, I have the exact same Lark. I found mine a couple years ago in a thrift store. It's still on the to-do list as far as cleaning & restoring. Love the turquoise color. Where did you find the brushes? I need to replace mine as the strip is cracked.

    unknown Hoover

my grandma had one of those in a tan color. I was always fascinated with the floor nozzle on that model. As I recall they take a bag that fits into a "cassette" that fits into the cleaner.

    Garage Sale Deals!

slow startup sound Hey Chase, I have the sunflower yellow Kenmore. I purchased it new at Sears a few years ago. You are right it does have a distinct "slow" startup sound. Mine has developed a loud air leak that I need to track down & fix. You probably know already, but there is an...

    a couple of my finds.......

Hoover Concept One Hey Jason, nice find there! I have that exact Concept One! Found mine at a thrift store, it is in mint condition as well. Have always had a love affair with the Concept Line. Always wanted to try a non-powerdrive model. Curious how hard it is to push versus Powerdrive models.
