and now one of the better finds.....

here is a stunning 728 convertible......this was absolutely filthy when it found me.....but with a little hard work and some hot water and soft scrub.....it turned out 10000 time better....and it sounds as good as it looks.....it is number 4490 off the line...

......

heres something you don't see to often....the first non power drive Concept one.....from the first four Hoover concepts from 1978.....this is also in very nice shape....and i was very luck cause it being a trash find and it having a cord winder....i was lucky enough to beat the cord choppers to it.....

Nice finds! I have a non power drive Concept one and I like it a lot. I think it is easier to push than a metal base Convertible. The only problem is its pretty loud so I don't like to run it for very long.

Great Concept Finds

Say that first Concept looks awfully familiar. Isn’t that the one I tested by wiring a temporary cord onto at Philip’s house? Jason, you have quite a few new Concepts now. I like them personally they clean very well, although they are not as attractive as the Hoover Convertibles. Hope you have enough hoses now since you gave me one of yours.

yes....

that is the one you tested at Phills house.....i had to flippin pry that out of his hands.....the he preceded to yell and scream and throw him self on the floor for a half hour.....

no he had way bigger fish to fry then four of those things so he gladly gave me one....

Eureka brandnames on the canister and power nozzle...

It's kind of interesting to see that the Eureka canister shows the "Eureka Williams" style of brandname, as opposed to the power nozzle which is sporting the newer "Electrolux-owned" Eureka Company font. I wonder if this is a unique combination, or was a common occurrence as the company transitioned to new branding. If not, then the power nozzle you got was not originally sold with this canister - i.e. it's a later replacement.

Any thoughts?

Hoover Concept One

Hey Jason, nice find there! I have that exact Concept One! Found mine at a thrift store, it is in mint condition as well. Have always had a love affair with the Concept Line. Always wanted to try a non-powerdrive model. Curious how hard it is to push versus Powerdrive models.

Nice finds!  That 728 is a beaut!  I have a pretty nice one, too.. Whenever I show my collection to non-vacuum people, they always comment on that bag.  Love the Eureka canister, too.  Those are fantastic machines!  Thanks for sharing!
