    Electrolux vacuums to become extinct?

Hmmm, Did I mention that Aerus plastic injection was done in the Juarez plant? Those are your words or maybe one of your friend's. I have no idea what specific operations were done at the Eureka plants. I do know that the Bristol MANUFACTURING was shut down in 2003 according to the news...

Attached is a Model-Type 630-F with the newer "narrow" style hood in the same Salmon color as the second version of the 1447 and the 1903.

    NZ Electrolux machines

Thanks for the photos and information. Until this thread I had only seen a UK AB Electrolux model list. Do you have a document showing the earlier Swedish cylinders, too? If so, I am interested in viewing it.

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

I found the Lux Intelligence US (filed 2008/granted 2010) patent by accident while searching for general information. Btw, experience has taught that the filing year is most often when production begins:

    NZ Electrolux machines

Lux International supposedly designed the Lux Intelligence in 2009. If someone owns one, you could ask if it bears a patent number and go from there to verify. I have seen these model numbers listed as the Lux Intelligence: France sold these two versions from 2010-2018 according to its website...

    Electrolux vacuums to become extinct?

Somehow you are misunderstanding my communications was your replies indicate time and again, so I will try to explain more clearly: 1. Attached is a screenshot of Lux International's timeline indicating its independence from AB Electrolux occurred in 1998. 2. I have no reason to doubt that...

    Sanitaire Blue Line Series Introduction?

Thanks, Ben. A former Eureka executive relayed to me that the nameplates were outsourced when he joined the company in 1978 and were later made by Eureka. I imagine the computerized version is the latter; although I always thought that the change occurred in the late 1980s. Good to know.

Hello, See the photo in my January 3, 2024, post of the operating instructions booklet for the installation and removal of the brushes. You may want to PM ajc31980 or bikerray for the snap info.

Just looked at my list and noticed that the 2087 has 2 speeds and a fingertip switch, so I guess its features differ from the 2068.

Need help finding a vacuum ad

vintage_vac.fan, Hi and welcome to VL! Congrats on scoring your Eureka ESP model-type 2068-AY. I located newspaper ads for it from 1980-1982; but production may have ended in 1981 when the new ESP 6.5-amp motor was introduced. The ads that referenced the type included -A, -AY, and -Z. These...

    NZ Electrolux machines

Just found some more historical information: Electrolux started assembling vacuum cleaners in New Zealand in 1940, followed by full manufacturing in 1949. This factory was located in Rongotai, Wellington. It was demolished in 1959 to make way for the new Wellington Airport runway. Electrolux...

    NZ Electrolux machines

Centralsweeper63, Outstanding Electrolux collection and info - thanks for sharing! It seems to me that the models with just a 'Z' prefix were the original version rather than a variation, so those would've been manufactured in NZ or likely Sweden (according to Electrolux Group's timeline in...

    Electrolux vacuums to become extinct?

Good information. I have read some additional facts from first-hand online sources regarding AB Electrolux, Electrolux Corporation and Electrolux (Canada) Ltd. along with some corrections: 1. AB Electrolux was a minority shareholder of Electrolux Corporation until 1968 when it sold its...

    Eureka 1784B

Great TOL Roto-Matic Power Team, mass-marketed from 1983 to 1989. The MOL 1783 was similar in styling and features but had the conventiona l uncovered Tool-Pak nubs, and the BOL 1777 had that same Tool-Pak and less power. The 3715 was the canister (sans the Roto-Matic). Matching Forest Green...
