    Rainbow Model R-1650

R1650 is the model of teh power nozzle that came with the D3 vacuum cleaner. The D3s were made from 1980 to 1986(when teh D4 came out). Certain variations of the 1650 had 3 wire cords, but for te most part they had a standard 2 wire. The hose it should have has a cord strapped to the outside of...

    Miele S 238 power team

Actually I just learned that all the current Mieles are using this motor. My S514 Solaris Electro Plus has the Vortex motor, its incredibly powerful and should last a long time.

    Miele S 238 power team

Miele ahs used 3 different motors..... When they first came out in the US they uased Lamb motors. Later they started using a motor built by Domel which looks similar to the lamb, and now they are using another Domel built motor that Miele calls the Vortex motor, which is what all of the newer...

    Dial-A-Matic Help

Yes, it certainly is the 1100. What tells me is that it doesn't have the bag indicator. Later models had it.

    A Frustrating Lewyt Motor!

I rarely ever repair those amb motors. I usually just replace them.

    Electrolux Motor

Interesting... I have a Lux L do the same thing and I could never get it fixed. I tried everything, seating the carbon brushes, cleaning the commutator, and even new brushes. I eventually just found another working motor and gave up on fixing the old one.

    iridium disaster!!

So far we have had a few with electronic problems, but very few. And its almost always due to customer abuse, or a very very rare factory problem. Either way, the problems almost never come up because they do use very good quality circuit boards.

    iridium disaster!!

To replace a Miele hose and board... The hose would have to be completely replaced for about $200 (maybe more) and the main circuit borad for another $150, and maybe even the motor board for yet another $130. That would be very unfortunate for them. thankfully our customers leave the repairs to...

Need Rec. for a new upright...

I would strongly recommend Going for the Sebo. It is a mcuh better vacuum than the Kenmore or Hoover, and also has on board tools. The Sebo is also lighter than both of the others which are VERY HEAVY. They are also not nearly as well built as the Sebo. The Felix model is also in the price...

New handle yoke for my Hoover 541

I finally got around to restoring my Hoover 541 now that I have a good brushroll for it, but the handle yoke had been broken, but was fixed with some interesting pieces of metal. Le me know if you any extras that you would be willing to sell.

    kirby or dyson

Yes, I would agree. And I also say that the Kirby is the easy winner here.

This is to all Oreck fans...

I agree with you there. I prefer large slower turning motors with a lower amp rating. The reason for high amp motors is basically because people have been lead o believe that higher amps mean more power, which is not true.
