Karcher "Aquaselect" Water Filtration Vacuum Cleaner

It sort of resembles the CleanSy... that made a ripple a few years ago.   Here is a link. Apparently the CleanSy has been superseded with a more advanced model [this post was last edited: 7/24/2012-09:36] http://www.zepter.com/MainMenu/Products/HomeCare/CleanSy/Tuttoluxo-6S.aspx

    If you were to choose...

The Mud issue... goes away if a Rainbow (Hyla, whatever) is used everyday exclusively for at least 30 days.  Storing the water basin where it is filled is a help, as is having a spare separator or two to slap a clean on on the machine when finished and putting the dirty one in the top rack of...

    If you were to choose...

The Water matic/Filter magic are the same machine.. identical to a Fairfax or Silver King in function, but not appearance. Open dust container with a downward baffle and disc filters under the motor. Wet pick up capability but no water filtration. The difference is the Watermatic is equipped...

    If you were to choose...

Floor-a-matic... The separator based water filtration technology is superior to the baffle/pipe arrangements. The Rotho uses only a one quart reservoir. It could not be used in really dirty home to do a corrective deep cleaning. I have seen homes where the 4 qt Rainbow basin needed...

Another separator water filtration vac... This one is by Fakir of Germany.   The number of water filter/separator vacs world wide must be over two dozen by now. Anyone have an accurate count...

Sebo fan, you don't think the savings of the output of an entire power plant is significant?

    light n easy upright vac

Tolivac... Today's vacuum cleaners are high, but short interval power consumers. If all of those high wattage vacs were replaced with vacs from the 50's the power savings in total would be significant. Thus G tech's claim about being able to shut down power plants.

The Gtech cordless sweepers... resemble the Shark product quite a bit. Any connection?

g tech air ram launch video   Based on a dirt removal/ power consumption ratio the Hoover Junior from the 50's is better than almost everything made since.   Why?  1) in our quest for filtration motors gobble more power 2) in our total belief in advertising we buy vacuum cleaners at...

PN Canister Comparable To Direct-Air Upright?

Eurekastar... You are correct about the change in carpet construction. This is why the Sanitaire modification of drilling holes in the wall of the nozzle cavity is so effective. More air must be drawn laterally across the surface to compensate for the air that cannot be pulled through the carpet.

    Factors influencing carpet cleaning pefromance...

On Thursday I cleaned 1500 sq ft of light colored medium thick plush carpet with Host.  First I vacuumed with a Sanitaire S647D with two 5/32" holes drilled in the base, one on each side of the belt chamber. I started on height adjustment 4, and while I liked the sound and feel of the agitation...

    Central Vacuum Power nozzle suggestions

I did this for my brother and SIL... but I used their Royal upright. Absolutely an incredible carpet cleaning/grooming machine.

    Miele Rechargable Powerhead

Longer cords on reels... are problematic. They require larger reels, stronger springs, and are more prone to failure. As to the battery P/N. I said when the Shark 3x battery powered sweeper was introduced it would make a great power nozzle.

    Machine I've been looking for!

It does? Look like a Lux, I mean? It resembles the approximate length and circumference, and has the hose on the front. But I would venture that nearly everyone on this forum could tell it apart from an American Electrolux at 20 paces

what is the next kirby model

Brad... Every day is one day closer. It won't be any longer than 14 months, and according to Dan, sooner than that. I think spring of 2013, so if it were mid March, it would be six months.  If it is going to be yet this year, logically Kirby would choose a good time, after school starts, and...

Paulc... When you say Hoover junior, what vintage are you speaking about? When was it manufactured?

    oh how they have changed

Gareth... Thank you.  The older I get, the more I shake my head at the seeming lack of ability to see underlying connecting patterns and resultant consequences in what is happening, not just in vacuums, but in general. I had, what seemed to me a pretty typical education. I am finding out it was...

    oh how they have changed

Alex... In order for new products to sell, they must at least seem to be new and improved.  The old Hoover Citations, the Royal metal uprights, and the Sanitaires all use simple technology that can be tweaked, but not significantly altered, or its effectiveness diminishes.  Why would someone...
