    Electrolux RF Capacitor Replacement

Suppressor capacitor If you can't find an 'original' type component, a 0.05 uF capacitor rated at about 600V DC /200V AC should suffice, assuming you are on 110V mains (Polypropylene types are best for this duty). Running the motor without the cap will accelerate brush and commutator burning...

My "New" Hoover Turbopower 3 Autosense U2880

Glad you're enjoying your 'new toy' Hope it was worth the journey.... Re: dry bearings. Is this a frequent problem with vacuum cleaners?? My background is in Engineering, and if there IS a way to get to a bearing for lubrication, I will find it... If anyone has such a motor (in any condition)...

    More Super Market Forum Fodder

AW.org May I say that I think a similar forum for Sales/Wants and 'Oh Look, everyone, what I've just seen on Ebay/Craigslist, etc.' would be a rather good idea, and would help to prevent the other forums from becoming cluttered. Ongoing thanks for all your hard work, Robert. :D All best Dave T

    MR Henry?????

My 'Henry' ....is in beige (cream??) and brown, and was bought 'reconditioned' in 1992. He is living in an original 'Henry' box/carton (sadly not his own... The box dates fron the late '90s) He is now living quietly in retirement... ;) All best Dave T

Alexhoovers - RichardC I don't remember it looking (quite) that grotty, Alex, but deliberately didn't wipe it down, so you got a better (more honest) before shot. Was there any 'vintage dirt' in the permabag?? I thought it felt a bit heavy when I put it in the car, but hadn't time to check it...

Free to a good home (U.K.)

More info..... DC01 serial number:- 600-A-337756 Alexhoovers has collected his TP3 I have found a small 'lozenge shaped' brush, which I think goes with the Electrolux (same colour plastic, anyway). Not yet found the 'extension tube', which, I gather, is called a 'Wand' in Vacuumspeak...

Free to a good home (U.K.)

Electrolux I have the Electrolux in front of me now... It is badged as 'The Boss Lite' 1500W I am trying to work out whether it's black or VERY dark blue... It's a 'bagless/cyclone'type. It has a 'double-sided' triangular brush/hard spreader attachment, though the hard plastic 'extension tube'...

Second dibs If things with Alex fall through for any reason, I will consider the TP3 yours, Madabouthoovers. It is only fair to keep things in 'first come, first served' order. If anyone passes another one my way, I'll let you know.... :) The Electrolux is still up for grabs..... ;) All...

DC07 No problem, Richard..... Consider it yours... I wonder if you would be so kind as to take the DC01 to Leeds with you, so that Ultimatevacman could pick it up locally??? (See replies #3/5) Either way, please let me know when you will be in the area. Best regards Dave T [this post was...

Free to a good home (U.K.)

DC07 (again) Just had a look.... This may cause some amusement, since I have no idea what the various parts of a Dyson are called...... The handle, main chassis, motor housing and foot are all 'silver grey' plastic.. The cyclone 'cowl' on top of the collector tank, the 'internals' of the...

Free to a good home (U.K.)

DC07 Is still available until someone makes a definite committment to collect it.... Sorry, I dont have the ability to post digital photographs, and wasn't aware that there are 'variants' on the models.... If there is some 'distinguishing feature' that I can look for, I will get back to you...

Free to a good home (U.K.)

How it works Not sure really.... I'm new here...... ;) As far as I am concerned, Alex, since you are the first to express interest in the 'TurboPower3', and offer to collect it, it is yours. There is no need to rush to make a 'special journey' to collect it, it will be fine if you are heading...

Free to a good home (U.K.)

AlexHoovers94 Yes, Quite literal.... I am aware that some or all of them may now be changing hands for money, but since I cannot guarantee their condition I am prepared to let other enthusiasts and/or collectors enjoy them. For all I know, some of them may include some 'vintage' dirt, I have...
