I live in the US 🇺🇸, is it possible to buy a vintage vacuum from eBay UK🇬🇧?

Hey Gj3476 The link below is to the company the Royal Mail contracts with for large-sized international shipments. They're not cheap, but if there's a "must have" then its worth it in the long run. http://send.parcelforce.com

Hey Vinni If Mr. Lester doesn't allow emails, just give him a "Shout Out" on any of the boards here via a new posting. BTW, his cyber-museum URL is linked below. http://www.1377731.com/museum

Museum of Clean - Pocatello, Idaho

Hello Paul I'm from Minnesota originally. I've only visited them online. Looked through hundreds of photographs of their collection with a drool bucket on my lap!

Advise needed about my Tellus R40

Hi Vinni Our own Charles Lester (electrolux137) may be able to help, or put you in touch with a Tellus collector. Charles' own cyber-museum site features the Paul Linnell collection, which includes Telluses (M20, S50).

    General Electric Model AVF-807

The belt that's on there looks a bit narrow, like its from a hand vac (Royal? Dirt Devil?) Take it to Walmart or Target and size it with their selection if you just want any- thing that fits.

    Receiving "dirty" vacuums

Talk about barn finds... I once brought home an Electrolux XXX. When I opened up the dust bag, it was "home" to a Mama Brown Recluse spider and her brood of several dozen little bastards. Since I wasn't willing to risk permanent disfigurement, it made a quick trip to the dumpster!

Qustion about Rainbows and cat litter.

Greetings Cat Lover I might be wary using a vacuum of any sort on cat litter. Its made mostly of clay which, when moistened, swells and adheres to anything it touches. I've used it, too, and its very difficult to scrape off the sides of the litterbox if its been left to dry there. Equate this...

Why I Don't Bother With Craigslist

Hey Real1shep My point about having their address had nothing to do with making a Sopranos "hit", or anything of that nature. I would merely involve the local Police and file a theft charge against the miscreant. But the folks I've had the good fortune to deal with have been open to shipping...

Why I Don't Bother With Craigslist

I always shop CR out-of-state I kinda have no choice but to. So far, I've found some amazing items at reasonable prices. The people I deal with are helpful and care about their items "finding a good home". Sure, the potential of risk is always possible. But, since I pay by Money Order, I have...

    Wish Book Catalogue Website

Yes, Eurekaprince And there's also a website of my own on Etsy called Sears Catalog Search. I can access nearly every Sears catalog from 1896 through 1993 for anyone, and email you actual page screen-shots for just 50 cents per page. Here's the link...

    Unique Feeny?

I know "For Sale" stuff goes in Marketplace. But Vintage seemed a more appropriate place to bring this to the experts attention. What's unusual is the shape of the dust bucket to which the nozzle is attached. Every other Feeny I've seen has a dust bucket shaped like a coffee can on top of a...

Too Good To Be True eBay Auction

I hear ya, huskyvacs A few months ago I bought a (Buy it Now) pneumo-vac. The guy was on vacation but didn't notify Ebay. He never confirmed the sale (he didn't even know about it) so Ebay put the whole thing in Limbo and stuck me with an "Unpaid Purchase" tag, which can get you kicked off...

    My vacuum collection

Great advice Ultralux88 The one difficulty with "choosy-ness" is when collecting antiques or rarities. The older or more unique it is, the scarcer are other examples. Unless a pre-electric I want is an absolute disaster, I'll look to restore or refab as close to original as possible things...

    My vacuum collection

Top Quality Gj3476 You must be very patient to look for only the "like new" condition units before you buy. Did any go through a restoration process?
