    Diesel Jeans...

GREAT Diesel commercial with that "big wheel" Lewyt. I also spotted a Constellation and GE swivel-top in the background in addition to that one. And that "spokestard" is blonde too...not surprising! Seems like everyone is obsessed with 12-amp engines and HEEE-pa filters these days!

I was a vac salesman for halloween! Look!

Awesome! That nice C-series Kirby (or is it an R model?) really adds to the Darth Vader look, IMHO.

Tania finally Got Her dream Vacuum cleaner YAY For Tania

Wow, that Apex is one beautiful machine, right down to the shiny jet-black hose! Tania, I look forward to meeting you in Omaha next year.

Hi Skip, I saw your emails and replied. Will keep you posted!

    Viking Vacuum

Very interesting machine for sure! At first I thought it was a Canadian machine made for the Eatons department stores, especially considering that it has a Eureka-made power nozzle on it.

    Mighty Maid

WOW...that's even got the green Vorwerk color scheme! The only Mighty Maids I've seen on eBay were red & white, the typical Advance color scheme. Must be an early one.

    RCA Whirlpool canister

I've never seen one like this before, only the power-nozzle-equipped version that Skip has. Perhaps this was a lower-end model? Appears to be in nice shape...

    Hoover Model 69

Well, since I'm a VCCC member now (since early September), and will be able to attend the Omaha convention, AND have a somewhat limited collection...I will definitely try to save some of the unwanted stuff as well.

    Sunbeam vacuums

Very cool, I almost fainted looking through those Bennett Bros. catalogs (Blue Books) and seeing all of that great stuff!

    New Aerus

Those Viking/Electrolux uprights are too cool! I can't really tell from the pictures, but are these direct-air or clean-air machines?

    POD..27/10/06..Hoover Constellation 843

Here's a side view of my 843...notice the side-mounted toggleswitch as well. Such a cool machine, and one we'll be playing with this weekend!

    POD..27/10/06..Hoover Constellation 843

That's my favorite model besides the Model 87 with the pushbutton handle switch; I think the fact that it's tilted adds more personality to it! The machine in the POD appears to be from the first run in the late-60's. I've seen ads on eBay for this one dating from 1967. Fred Stachnik mentioned...

    Convertible 65 beater bar...need advice!!!

In the meantime, I guess I could always "borrow" a brushroll from one of the other Convertibles to use in it temporarily for Friday. Will definitely be changing the cord on it tomorrow; a black heavy-duty 3-wire cord on a 48-year-old machine is utter blasphemy, LOL!

For sale Kirby ultimate G with attachments/shampooer

Hi Skip, I sold my G5 and have been looking for a more "modern" Kirby for a little while, just need some time to assess the funds and think about it! If no one else takes it, let me know. Approx. what year is it? Good luck, Austin

    Convertible 65 beater bar...need advice!!!

Hi Tom, Thanks for the advice...glad to hear it wasn't me that was the problem! I sent you an email regarding the flat washers. --Austin

    Convertible 65 beater bar...need advice!!!

Hi everyone, I just re-assembled the Hoover Convertible 65, and while it's not exactly pretty it runs like new, however, I'm having a hard time with the beater bar I rebuilt from parts that Tom Anderson sent me. After I put it together it was like new, but after I installed it in the machine...

    Meet the New Connie

The only reason I haven't bought one yet is that I want to buy both the Pearl White and SS models at once! One of these days, the "tilted" 843 (that Fred so generously cleaned up and sent to me) will have two modern companions! I also plan to have both Z-series models as well sometime in the...

Why one should never pick up water with a vacuum cleaner...

As for others... I bought a seemingly nice Celebrity I (wheeled with cord reel) on eBay, but when it arrived it was a different story. Rust all over the bag chamber, smelled like wet dog when it ran, and the bearings sounded HORRIBLY dry. When I saw the inside of the hose end that connected to...

Why one should never pick up water with a vacuum cleaner...

Wow...I've seen what a "normal" DAM motor looks like, with the removeable end in sort of a dull aluminum, and this is completely the opposite. I can't believe how much corrosion the brushes and armature sustained as well; no wonder they were difficult to turn! Before it died, I can only imagine...

    Vacuum Cleaners from Chad!!

Kyle, awesome machines, congratulations! I'm envious of that nice 1060! ;-)
