    Kirby Website redone at last!!!!

Finally! I guess they sold enough Ultimate G Diamond Editions to warrant advertising the Sentria. My main gripe, though, is when they took down the detailed company history pages close to 8 years ago, complete with a chart containing the majority of the models Kirby produced (I don't think it...

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

Wow, that "box top" bag on the Western Auto is very cool indeed; I thought only Eurekas had those!

    Dirt Devil Broomy!

Very cool Broomy! I do like the name and the color...I don't ever remember seeing a black version. I had the blue "Royal Pro Series" version of the Broom Vac that I found at an estate sale (along with the matching blue 2-speed hand vac which I still have) for a short time. A GS Electric power...

    kirby or dyson

"Lord knows I can't change..." Derreck (on both posts) and Charlie, well said. Charlie, I do agree with what you said about paying Club dues, because I feel that regardless of what has been happening lately, my VCCC membership enables me to feel "included" among everyone else, which I have to...

    Hoover turned 100!

I'm looking forward to actually being there and celebrating the 100th anniversary of Hoover in 2008, still a long way off though! I too would like to see the 2-speed Convertibles with the metal base make a return again, not just a Hoover equivalent of the Eureka Retrovac or "Guardsman with...

    kirby or dyson

My 2 cents I love vintage Kirbys as they are beautiful machines, however, in terms of overall efficiency, the Dyson would be the clear winner. Now with a more modern Kirby G-series or Sentria, the outcome would probably be different; I can see a potential advantage there; in fact, I'd probably...

This is to all Oreck fans...

Derreck-- Speaking of lightweights, I'm wondering... Tom mentioned to me about an Electrolux lightweight upright that apparently is a much better performer than the Oreck (at least on carpets anyway) in addition to being less expensive. However, I've Googled around and can't find any...

    A gift to myself...

Fred, congratulations on that FABULOUS machine. What a beauty...don't you just love those minty fresh Eurekas? I know it has that "new vintage plastic" smell like mine do! As I mentioned before, the date is in the manual if you're curious in finding out what year it's from. If I were to guess...

My Christmas present--the new Hoover Constellation!

New and old, side by side 2006 Hoover Constellation S3341 next to the ULTIMATE vintage Constellation, the 1970-72 "tilted" model 843 which was given to me in a VERY generous act by Fred Stachnik (HooverCelebrity). Thanks again Fred, and as you can see now, it has a new housemate! :)

My Christmas present--the new Hoover Constellation!

Attachment carrier on board...the machine didn't have a very nostalgic look with the carrier on, so I moved it to the telescoping wand.

My Christmas present--the new Hoover Constellation!

Fully open, revealing the bag chamber. Notice how the cover release latch is identical to the one on the vintage Constellation and Celebrity.

My Christmas present--the new Hoover Constellation!

I still can't believe it, but my parents gifted me a brand-new Hoover Constellation S3341 in Pearl White for Christmas this year. This was something I wasn't specifically asking for either, which makes it that much better! In case some of you are wondering why I didn't post this on Christmas...

anyone selling a dyson for $135

Hello The new Hoover Constellation Type S HEPA bags are also made of material identical to the 3M Filtrete bags. They could be included in that category as well.

anyone selling a dyson for $135

I'm thinking next year in Omaha...Hoover EmPower or Windtunnel V2 vs. Dyson. Hell, even the new Windtunnel 2!
