tv series vacs

What about Everybody Loves Raymond? Raymond's mother had a Hoover 63 "one Day at a Time" "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons" all shared a Hoover Convertible U4059 in 1976 or so. Edith Bunker also had an old Royal, a Convertible 719, and a Dial-A-Matic 1149 in addition to the 70's...

    Hoovers in Blondie films!

What fun! I remember watching the hotel movie when I was a kid, the inner-tube bag thing has been done many times! I am not certain if thats a model 700 or a 725, it does appear to have a band around the motor, which would be a 725. The 3rd movie with the dogs is definitely not a model 28, the...

Dyson, Bobby, A few years back I had a chance to use a Dyson for about a month, a DC07 Animal. I had always wanted to try one, but could not see shelling out the $$$ they want for one. So when I friend offered me use of the one in his collection I jumped at the chance. I was most surprised...

    Aunt Ruth's Eureka...

is it that rare? I'm not certain of the age of this machine, but I know it was after the green hood models, which were 1976. These brown models all had the 1400 series blender motor, that I do know. I had one from the trash maybe 20 years ago, same colors and styling as Aunt Ruth's, only this...

What was the first power head?

Not the expert but... Electrolux had the first powerhead, sometime in the mid-late 50's. For some reason 1957 is the year that comes to mind. Sears had a powerhead shortly after that. Eureka didn't have their powerhead until the 70's, 1972 I believe. I've seen the machine on ebay that you...

    Magicord Dreams

what made them loud was worn agitator mountings. Try cushioning/securing the ends of the agitator with some foam tape...it should quiet it down considerably
