wanted: Kirby tradition nozzle (or belt lifter)

I've been searching hard to find a tradition nozzle. If anyone has one they would sell for a reasonable price, please email me! Does not need a brushroll as I will likely get a ball bearing style. I also have a Classic III nozzle so if you have the complete belt lifter, that I would be...

    Kirby sentria

weight? Does a Sentria weigh much less than a G5? Cause my G5 is heavier than my Heritage or other 'Classic' Kirbys. I have never used a Sentria I can only compare the G series (G3/G4/G5 to be specific) to the Heritage or HII and I find I like using the Heritage more. While tech drive is...

Carpet Cleaners (Rug Doctor, Rug Rover, etc.)

Wondering if all the rental companies would sell them or if they would destroy them- cause like the previous poster mentioned- you could start your own carpet cleaning business using their machines. I'm not sure how the rental process works though.

If you waxed the bin with car wax each time you cleaned it would that help it reduce scratches longer?

At the last yard sale, I found treasure!

yellowing I've used Lacquer Thinner on power cords, as well as the trim on my Kirby 510 to take the discoloration off the vinyl/plastic. I read this tip when people were complaining about green cords on their G3s and someone suggested lacquer thinner. Do at your own risk, try a small spot...

At the last yard sale, I found treasure!

Interesting history on those vacs! That is a nice find there and to me Lux is the only cool looking canister. Hope to find one someday. ;)

Removing the Piece from a Kirby 519

I used liquid dish soap on my Heritage to lube up the emtor, since I didn't want to put WD40 on it, but either will do. :) Put some lube on and tip it backwards so it seeps in, the rubber gasket can really hold that sucker on!

    Chrome and cloth......

that looks AMAZING! How much does chrome plating normally cost? I'd almost like to chrome plate one of my Kirbys as it is such a pain trying to maintain bare aluminum.

My first Kirby! GSix 2000 Limited Edition!!!

"check to see if it is in a dirty run down trailer park I bought my G5 from a guy who was a heavy smoker. Took a while to clean it I washed the bag and soaked all the attachments in the laundry tub with bleach/dishsoap mix. It actually smells pretty good now (I have Odorific in the bag which...

NEW Dyson Ball Vacuums.... YES there is now a Canister!

I like the idea of the ball in a canister. For those who like to drag vacuums by the hose this would make it easier to pull and the hose would last longer. Are these things super light or what?

Well, it all works out in the end, I hope

What's the deal with the "Janitoric" handle??

    Kirby G3 brush

Great place to buy bags online is kirbyneeds.com (ebay store). There is a minor price difference between the Micron Magic and cloth bags. Currently I am using the Micron Magic and have vacuumed drywall dust and fine cement dust and I do believe it captures it just fine as the inside of the...

Nice vintage vacuum for everyday use

They don't make them like they used to.. If you have mostly carpet and like uprights, I would suggest KIRBY! I think the Hertiage through Legend II are the toughest Kirbys ever made. The Heritage was the first to get the modern paper bag and also I like the bag hanger, it's a better design...
