    My latest acquisition!

A fortnight ago we had a macmillan coffee morning at work, with a raffle to win a DC50 Animal donated by Dyson. I thought why not, after all its a worthy charity and it is a Dyson! So with luck would have it, I won it! Lovely colour. Very rinky dinky, looks toy like, but that is where it ends.

    Some new vacuums

Yep we have new Dyson's they go out when the old runs down. There's a new dc50 and a new dc40 exclusive. The 40 & 41 will have smaller motors, they have a different brush roll, which doesn't look much different. They also have a suction slider on the head. Both sharks have the crevice, dusting...

    Some new vacuums

So it was my first day back since Saturday and I had quite a jobs list. Vacuums galore were stacked waiting for me, they always leave them to me to display. So I spent the best part of today unboxing some new machines. Some new Hoovers, we won't go into detail, let's face it it's Hoover...

    TTI/Oreck expanding in USA

Roger beat me to it. The founder is German, but based in Hong Kong, which let's not forget, is different to China

    TTI/Oreck expanding in USA

If this is TTI, could it be possible that they may bring Vax back to the UK?

    Being doing some complaining!

So as we all know about the poop storm created by the media about the new EU regs, I thought enough was enough, so I've done some complaining. I have complained to the head of the Daily Mail, Rachel Straus and Simon Lambert of ThisIsMoney, also to the head of Which (who could have set the story...

    German vacuums

Or Thomas, who make the Aquafilter system. Olli is right about Miele, although I was under the impression that the S2 is made in Germany. It is only the older series that are made in the Miele Dongguan factory, ie s5,s4 & s700. I do believe they assemble them of the German made parts...

    New Samsung Trio

Interesting idea from Samsung, a new eco vac based on the previous Motionsync/cycloneforce. Its called the Trio, allows dry vacuum, dry vacuum with water filter, it can pick up liquid and it can even wash carpets! Lord knows how much this will be. Would be interesting to see how well it works...

Yet more utter garbage from The Daily Mail regarding EU vacuum laws

The daily fail website doesn't seem to be accepting my comment, must be too close to the bone. This is what I had to say, I'll post it here for your delight ''What really amazes me is how stupid people actually are. I think you all need to relearn physics, the principle of vacuum. I sell the...

Yet more utter garbage from The Daily Mail regarding EU vacuum laws

Actually AEG do have a low wattage, its called the UltraFlex. looks a bit like the ultracaptic, but a bit more refined. It is 650w http://www.aeg.co.uk/Products/Vacuum_Cleaners/Cylinder_Cleaners/UltraFlex/AUFFLEXA

Yet more utter garbage from The Daily Mail regarding EU vacuum laws

The comments are hilarious, all idiots that have no idea of what they are talking about! 'Er more power means it takes less time'. Hmm, in the past have we ever moaned about the vacuums not being powerful enough? I doubt Which? actually said this because they state on their website: ''Is...

    Bosch Power Silence 2

Nar is right as usual! The two accessories clip onto the metal tube, best place for them I reckon. I agree Nar, the plastics do feel a little cheaper than Miele, but looking at a dyson, theres no comparison. One can get the DC28 for the same price, which is difficult to manoeuvre, flimsy, noisy...

    Bosch Power Silence 2

Had a quiet spell at work today, so thought it was the best time to have a play with a new Bosch. I've had a play with the Athlet, but not the new Power Silence. I've always been skeptical so I was very dubious, even a colleague was, who hates Bosch. There is one word I would use to describe...

    Another new toy, Bosch Athlet

We have just got this in at our place, I have to agree, its great. On low pile carpet tiles which we have in store, I tried it. It looked clean, so I was dubious. Well, amazed that it managed to pick up some fine dust, this was on a small patch. It coped with flour and sand well. Very impressed...
