Is it ok to suck up baking soda from carpeting with a modern upright?

Alls I know is my Shark gets rough treatment and still does a super job on both carpet and with attachments. It's a pleasure to use.

I finally got it out of the box after 3 months. I figured the warranty would be over anyway. I am pleasently surprised! Packing was excellent, most of the assembly instructions were clear. BUT in the bottom of the box was what looked like an after motor filter and holder. It did not seem to fit...

I liked the idea to aeriate (sp) pillows. Instead of trying to suck the dirt out, you blow the dirt out. Clever.

That thing may be harder to clean than my H2O turbo. BTW it's still free for the postage.

My Aldi had one EASY HOME upright vac in unopened box marked down to $27.99. Couldn't resist. I try to post pics when hubby isn't around (something about too many vacuums too little use)
