Royal 401 Canister and 597 PN

Les... 6amps tank, 7amps with PN. It has EXCELLENT suction! The Lewyt I gave away, just never really warmed up to it. The 597 power nozzle I have to agree is one of the best ever made. It almost rips the rug straight out of the floor! Well, maybe I exaggerated, but it lifts it the way a Kirby...

Royal 401 Canister and 597 PN

Just picked up this lovely little Royal! These are “before” pictures, as it’s going to be taken apart, cleaned and polished up. I’m very surprised it came with this power nozzle, and it works beautifully!

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

Wrong type of carpet?!?!?! My goodness. So what are people supposed to do - design their home around the vacuum cleaner? Or maybe just buy a machine that works on whatever flooring they currently have. This guy needs some psychiatric help—- like NOW! Hahaha.

Mike811 Didn’t he write you and say something along the lines of your test being inaccurate because you only did a single pass and a real world user would make at least two passes? Doesn’t he understand that in the real world people wouldn’t be vacuuming with the dirt meter? Lol. It takes all...

    Nice challenge Kirby G5

Beautiful! Great job on your restoration! It looks like a totally different machine! I’m anxious to see the finished product! Look forward to seeing more as you progress, and thanks for sharing!

I really don’t know why I’m adding to this, it doesn’t really matter. I guess for me, it has nothing to do with the make of the machines, it’s his attitude. For example: He once said the Carpet and Rug Institute was a “cowboy organization” (or whatever cowboy thing he said) without providing...

    Vintage Electro-Hygiene

Can anyone on here tell me what I have here? How old is it? What was the reason for it’s manufacture? Did it accompany a larger machine? Any info would be appreciated.

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

If you think he is annoying now... Just wait. Apparently he got his hands on a G5 and is using it for a series of new videos. He claims that “they are all the same anyway” and something along the lines of the Kirby nuts will go bonkers and any information contrary to them all being the same is...

    Kirby 562 Q's

With fan removed, and motor in the casing, you remove the motor from the inside (if that makes sense). Be careful about the rear bearing. It’s hard giving advice on this because I don’t really know anyone’s level of expertise aside from my own - I can only see with my eyes and no one else’s...

    Kirby 562 Q's

Some of the best places you’ll go have some fairly obvious flaws... Anyhoo... I’d not recommend removing that bag. If you can find a good replica then go ahead, otherwise, it’ll likely tear upon reinstallation. That specific bag won’t be easy to find on its own. If you do find one, it’ll...

    Kirby 562 Q's

Purple Power Oops. I should have mentioned that you don’t want it touching the aluminum, but you shouldn’t have to do any sanding - when it happened to me, I just used some Mother’s mag and aluminum polish and presto! Depending on condition of the aluminum, you may get by using just 0000...

    Kirby 562 Q's

562 Congratulations on your find! The white cord is a very big plus on that model! I’ll attach a couple of pictures of mine so you can see how what I’m recommending worked for me... I soaked the cord in a purple power solution (can buy at any auto parts store and even dollar general). Wipe...

    Hoover 541 bristles

Found it! O’Connor’s in Youngstown, Ohio. They do re-bristling. It’s a fairly old thread, but I googled it and they are still around!

    Hoover 541 bristles

Anyone on here know (or have and willing to sell) how to obtain either a replacement beater bar for this model or replacement bristles?

    Valentine gift 505

You know, I used to hate Valentine’s Day, but I think after having received this I can get used to it. My dream machine... 505.

    Royal 501

Well damn. I was hoping I could have been of help for once, lol.

    Royal 501

Oiling... Mine does have an oiling port... Instructions detail how to oil. Additionally (see pics for instructions) there is another access point (with bag removed) at the top and rear of the motor casting.

Pic #3 That’s what I’m after. I just emailed you

    562 Sanitronic

Only thing missing is the correct bag with the circles and not ovals. If anyone has a correct bag they are willing to sell, I’m all ears!

    562 Sanitronic

For $8.80 (tax included) I simply could not leave without it. Needed a very brief polishing, but that’s all.
