Electrolux -- What Belongs to What?

Here are a couple of Electrolux Vacuums that I acquired from a friend. He saved them (and several others) from a house about to be demolished. The Model L looks like it was rarely used. The cord winder was sluggish so I took it apart and rewound the coil spring. The Model G doesn't appear to...

    Perfect Canister Vacuum

I would be interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on the Perfect Canister Vacuum (Electrolux Clone). Is it any good? Who makes it? etc. Thanks! Bill http://www.govacuum.com/pecocavaclmo.html

Making some utube videos this week

That would be cool. I was just given several Luxes by a friend who salvaged them from a house before it was demolished. Most were in amazing shape. A couple need a lot of work. I've found their design to be straightforward and pretty intuitive. However, I still haven't tackled a motor. Would...

A question for the Electrolux users.

Perfect Bags Besides genuine bags, I've used Perfect Bags too. They seem to perform well. You can get them from Amazon and (I think) govacuum.net. Speaking of the Pefect Electrolux clone, is it any good? Bill

Electrolux Oxygen This is the one I had. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0000SWDR0/sr=1-12/qid=1229105155/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=1055398&s=home-garden&qid=1229105155&sr=1-12

Electrolux Oxygen Mine didn't look quite like that. It didn't have the telescopic wand, so one of the problem areas was where the two wands connected together. The power nozzle on mine looked different too. Yours appears to have electronic controls on the canister. Mine had a slider bar to...

    Rate your vacs

Hi Rob! It was dumb to throw the whole thing away. Frustration, I guess. I should have kept the canister and hose. Nothing wrong there. The problem was with the wand connections and the power nozzle. After a few uses, the wand connections would become loose and started arching. They burned out...

    Electrolux Lower Wand

Thanks for that info. Aerus. I should have known that. Sounds like I should take the upper wand assembly with me to a vac shop. Thanks again!

    Electrolux Floor Brush

Oh, yeah. I also have a turquoise G that I bought at a garage sale. The bearings are bad so I'm using it to fix up the one my friend gave me. The only thing it needs is a new wheel on the front axle. I'm still working on that.

    Electrolux Floor Brush

That's exactly the one! Now I just wonder what happened to the Model XII vac that came with it? My friend brought me three Model XXXs, two Model LXs (one is like new. Both are early LXs with cord winders), one Model E (like new), one Model AF (beaten up), two Model Gs (one turquoise, one bronze...

    Electrolux Floor Brush

I recently came into a collection of Electrolux vacuums that a friend saved from a house that's being demolished in our town. Some are in almost new condition! They range from Model XXX to Model L. In the collection of attachments is a wooden bare floor brush with a chrome opening for the wand...

    Electrolux Lower Wand

Does anyone know where to get the lower metal wand to an Electrolux vacuum? I bent the clip by not paying attention to how I was putting it in and now it isn't very stable after inserting it. I've looked on Ebay and people want to sell the whole wand assembly. I only need the lower wand. Thanks...

    65 Hoover repair shops closing

I vaguely recall hearing that the company now making Hoover is now making Kenmore vacs as well. I once had a Kenmore canister that was pretty good for a plastic vac. I think they were made by Panasonic then.

    Metropolitan Vacuum

Does anyone know anything about these vacuums? They certainly look very old school. I wonder how good they are. http://www.thesevacuumssuck.com/vacuum-153344.html

    Vintage Electrolux Hose Repair

To Dave the Canadian Guy: Thanks! That's pretty awesome! I have a bunch of old hoses to work on. The reason I wanted to learn how to do it was to fix the original hose on my Grandmother's Electorlux Model XXX. Since I inherited her's, I've acquired several other old Luxes with leaky hoses. I...
