Electrolux -- What Belongs to What?

Here are a couple of Electrolux Vacuums that I acquired from a friend. He saved them (and several others) from a house about to be demolished. The Model L looks like it was rarely used. The cord winder was sluggish so I took it apart and rewound the coil spring. The Model G doesn't appear to have seen much use either and works perfectly too. They emit a minor odor that I'm thinking is carbon dust from the motors. My question is about their power nozzles. Can someone tell me from the photos which nozzle belongs to which machine? The nozzle that I have pictured with the Model G also looks like it was virtually unused. The only thing I've done to it was oil the brush roll bearings. It has plenty of bristles and works well. The one with the Model L needed a new brush roll, which I replaced. I think the one that I have pictured with the Model G actually went to a 1205 (from what I've seen of other websites), but there wasn't a 1205 to be found in the house. Thanks! Bill

Hey Bill! You're right about the power nozzle with the G. It could have went to a 1205 or the last L, which was the same color. The other one could be the original to either lux. Later, Trg

That motor smell on the model G

Hi yes I get alot of model G's that emit a oily smell. To fix this the motor and fans need a good cleaning,I find that because of their age it is a good idea to replace the carbon brushes and fan bearing.The motor felt that lines the motor compartment should be replaced or removed all together to prevent dust and odor build up.I have restored and sold many model G's over the years.

The last Model L was gold

it was made to match the golden Jubilee and the super J of the alte 1970's and ahd the corresponding power nozzle of that period it was produced from 1974 to 1979...PAT COFFEY
