    NORCA

This past friday, another package arrived at my doorstep from my friend Gary. Again there was another rarer Hoover item inside. This was a model 80 Norca upright from 1939-1942. Check out the molded "NORCA" letters on the hood. This was very much like our Hoover model 305 from the same period...

    Hoover Model 28???

TAAA_DAAAAAA! It is a Handisac conversion for a model 28. Thanks to Gary Ball and his generousity, I am the proud owner of a beautiful "late" model 28 "with Handisac". I saw one of these in St. Louis at the 2006 convention and have never seen one since. I bet this was an expensive option on the...

    The Spirit of '76

Seems like this is a difficult to find model. I wonder what the total production was on this upright? I seem to find more of the model after this one which was the same color but with a "plaid" printed bag instead of the Liberty Bells. Congrats, Jeff. That was a nice gift indeed! --Tom

Another Hello and Which is the Quietest Dyson?

dyson...in a word poor excuse for a cleaner. I am very unimpressed with its capabilites. The price is way out of site for what it is worth. They are just poorly designed. I do however really like the fact that they come with so many optional pieces. Vacuum companies have forgotten our love for...

    and, my painted 67

John!!! YIKES...that poor thing. You must restore her to her former beauty. I am sure that you can get it running again. I will have to look to see if I have an extra handle for her. I have to say that the photo above is FRIGHTENING! (save it for Halloween and scare the neighborhood kids with...

    Guess what I found...

Here is the basic set of tools for a Lark. This is the short set but I have read where you could get a deluxe set. I have yet to find a nicer set. Heck, it is hard enough just to find the machine let alone a tool set for it. This was a very simple set of tools, just the bare essentials. The Lark...
