Late 80's Electrolux PN5 = which current version??

Good to know about the PN-3. I wondered why they didn't called the CB that used the pn4 a pn5 and the ones that used a pn5 a pn6 and so on, because they all had three wires. Guess we'll never know the thought process

    Guardian Platinum brush roll

I bought one of mine from Dan, it was brand new as he said. I've toyed with making the wheels fixed as you've said, I could see how it would push it forward more causing the nozzles to dig. I've always found the pn5 to dig the most, the PN6 is close but the bush strip causes some drag. The...

Late 80's Electrolux PN5 = which current version??

I'm pretty sure the PN 3 was for the heavy duty upright, that brush roll was very similar to a pn4 but just different enough, so my guess would be that was the unbranded PN 3

Late 80's Electrolux PN5 = which current version??

The perfect has the same style bottom plate as a PN 5, after the PN 6 they had a different style bottom.

    Guardian Platinum brush roll

If you don't mind using a power nozzle that did not come with the machine using a tristar definitely helps. I feel the same way about my platinum, trying the green brush didn't really do it for me. But like I said adding a tristar nozzle makes all the difference, feels much more effective/...

    Guardian Platinum brush roll

I' have two of the green ones I got new one from a member on here and one from a vac shop. I don't see what the hype is about, I have it installed on my Renaissance and 3500sr, I can't really feel a difference. When putting the regular brush back in it seemed the same.

    Found a Drilux

At pr 21 Capture is a very fine powder that clogs bags easily, just a heads up. I have found it does give a little bit bet results than the saw dust based host type. I did my grandmothers formal living room which is 100% wool wall to wall with the oreck dry cleaner which is identical to...

It's too bad lindhaus doesn't make the two row brush for the 14" models that's offered on the 12". The difference is night and day. As far as the guardian platinum hoes I sometimes use my tristar PN, as Tom G pointed out in one of his posts it digs much deeper since it has the weight of the...

Torn between Sebo D4 and Simplicity Moxie

While I agree your home is the best place to show the new machine, most sales people don't explain the maintence of a machine. I think the biggest offender would be rainbow sales staff, they just want to sell the product and if they said you need to empty the water often during cleaning and...

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

Yes... Very annoying with dust going to the center tube when you empty and going to the motor if your a regular consumer that doesn't notice that

    self propelled power nozzle?

Jet Flo Dual Sweep It's what they called dual sweep, I have one. There is a switch down at the elbow that when pushed forward it spins the brush forward and when you pull back it revolves the brush roll backwards. They didn't really deep clean well but should get the stuff you were talking...

    lindhaus canisters

Loved mine but... I've had the elite and platinum, two of the best canisters I've ever used esp when you have the two row brush roller that is standard in the platinum. But... The handle design that is used on other comanies like Bosch and pro aqua to name a few gets in the way when trying to...

    Selling My Collection

Agreed In the long run it may be worth the effort of doing individual sales, you could easily get more money than what you're asking by doing that. But what's good for one isn't always good for another, life happens and presents challenges so what ever works best for you.

Torn between Sebo D4 and Simplicity Moxie

The one reason I won't own another sebo canister ( might seem dumb to some) is the power nozzle switch is annoyingly stiff to press and just down right awkward. Even though the brush strips might be half the price of a sebo brush roll nothing compares to the convenience of removing a sebo...
