Tom, Is that the original hose on your 107? Mine has a plain grey crush proof hose that looks like an after-market but it has a molded rubber cord clip on it for the power nozzle cord.

    Recently bought a green Elux

I have one of these that I got in St. Louis about 10 years ago. I need a power nozzle and attachments for it. Would those be hard to find and or a pain to ship to the States?

Does Anyone Have Pictures Of The "First" Self Propelled Kirby

A Kirby dealer that used to have a vacuum shop in my area (now deceased) also told me when I was a kid of a Kirby that had a Hoover transmission added. Apparently he as well as many dealers saw it at a show (maybe like the VDTA?). I have also heard that Keeler did the same thing to the Bison?

    Sanitronic Vlll and white cord

That's is so awesome. I would say the reason its rare is because it was produced for one model for only one year. The 562 1962 but now that I see people have had then on VII and D-50 makes me scratch my head a little

    Oddball Sanitaire bagged Vacuum

I think if this truly was new 5 or 6 years ago it would have the updated paper bag system and the new style handle with the switch in the handle and would have the name electrolux on it someplace. If they bought it new it must have been left over stock, which does happen a lot.

    Electrolux Model XXX Upgrade?

I saw at the 2008 convention a man from New York took an XXX and modified it with a Miele motor and adapted a wessel werk power nozzle to it with an electric hose. It was really cool.

Dial a Matic 1149 lives again.......but one lil problem.

If the motor sounds fine then it's going to be doing what it's supposed to do. If it has very high pitched whine that unbearable then there's a good chance the fans are clogged but I doubt this is the issue. I bet you just have a seal problem somewhere. You might try getting some weather strip...
