    LOL

Bottom line is they are saying that for about 1/2 the price of an efficient vacuum you can buy the Vacuette.  However it does not say that the Vacuette is actually as efficient as the more expensive vacuum but it comes across that way just by the wording.. So in other words even if it isn't as...

    Eureka Self-Proplelled ESP 5060 F

Nice find, They're really nice vacs, fun to use. I think the self propelling also works a little smoother than it does on my Hoovers

    Hypothetical advice for Consumer Reports

I think it's a little too much to ask for follow ups on pedestrian household items like vacuums. By time they could accomplish it that the model or some of the 40 others tested would be off the market and replaced by something else, which then would need follow ups and on and on and on.. And...

    Hypothetical advice for Consumer Reports

Well they do rate a lot of those things bundled into the column "ease of use". They're not always called out specifically in the report unless some particular machine has a glaring issue that a lot of people would find objectionable. Not sure but I think they go into more detail on their website...

    Hypothetical advice for Consumer Reports

Sandy I agree with you on that about the condensed articles but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that all the manufacturers keep pumping out new models so frequently compared to in the past when their model lineups were less and it might take a few years before they made any drastic...

Roomba acting weird.. is it because of the dog/cat fur?

Sounds familiar It's why I gave up on my Roomba. They can't handle long pet hair. The dog hair at our place would get wrapped around the swivelling front wheel axle within minutes of use so that the wheel wouldn't spin freely, just sort of scrape along the floor. Plus always having to tear or...

Hoover Slimline 2017 freebie from mini meet... spa day!!

I love the look of the Slimline but they are like pulling a brick across carpet LOL. They're not even that manouverable on hardfloors with their tiny wheels and boxy shape,, still in all it's always nice to have one in the collection.

    My Golden Jubilee.....

They're definitely the snazziest looking Elux.. all that glitters LOL Be careful with the plastic handle on the machine etc.. keep well away from friends,, they are somewhat brittle.

    Electrolux with bilingual labels?

Hmmm could have been for sale in Canada where most things are labelled in French/English.. at least the brochures and operating instructions that come with any appliance are come in both languages. My GE washer for example, all the dial controls are in both languages but my KitchenAid stove...

    Air Ride Celebrity

All I can say about mine is that it is definitely much noisier than the Constellation, not good. I suppose in a way too the Connie is easier to pick up since it is taller. Of the two, I prefer a Connie.

The word on Miele Canister Vacuums

I've got the older full-sized Miele Allervac and while it's good vacuum I find it a little cumbersome to use compared to my older Electroluxes like the Model G and my Canadian 88/89's It just doesn't roll around on hard floors as easily and that is somewhat irksome. You definitely have to give...

    Robotic vacuums...

I have a Roomba I bought for the toy factor as well but found out it doesn't like long pet hair at all. Our dogs are long haired and within 5 or 10 minutes of the Roomba going about its business all the wheels are jammed tight because it wraps around them, especially the little front castor. It...

    Aerus Vacuums

The Sidekick was also produced as the Kenmore Powermate Jr. back in the 90's, identical except for the molding around the electrical connection to fit the Kenmore.
