Question regarding Cyclo Vac Central System

indicator lights? Do you have the system indicator lights on your inlet valves? I have seen a similar issue with Airvac systems where for some reason the indicator lights don't communicate properly and cause the vacuum to shut down. What I have done in the past is just disconnect the indicator...

has anyone ever seen this before?

The Oreck roller was defective Oreck had a bad batch of rollers a number of years ago. The roller shown is one of the defective ones. Those brushes are not worn but broken off rather. They were recalled at one time by Oreck Manufacturing. I don't think they will honor the recall anymore it may...

HEPA Bags-Are They Worth The Price?

I like them The rise of the hepa/ cloth bags is due in part to the increased use of the so called "high performance" motors. Many manufacturers are using these newer high revving motors in the new vacuum and are also offering Hepa bags. Often times new machines are coming standard with hepa...

    Oreck Pilot II Help!

The rattle is the cord guards as already stated This is a common annoyance with some batches of baseplates. The Oreck store can replace it under warranty. There is no real threat with the sound. I have personally had customers who fussed about it but it never bothers me. If all else fails take...

    I need recommendations.

no on the smart vac I would stay away from the Eureka Smart Vac they have a lot of issues with the belt and brushroll. The belt design is very poor it wears very easily and also wears at the roller brush. A lot of my customers have had to replace both belt and roller brush and average of once a...

Glade Shake n Vac / Carpet Freshener Powder - Your Opinions?

I hate it I have been telling customers for years that those powders will ruin any vacuum. I have seen fairly new machines come in with burnt up motors from carpet powders that went right through the filters. Due to that I do not honor any warranty on a refurbished machine if carpet powders are...

    Electrolux 1521

Check your spring Often its not a matter of lubrication it is the spring going off alignment. In most cases I have been able to take the winder all the way apart and recoil the spring back into alignment to correct the problem.

    Hoover Steam-Vac Dual V Opinions

Go basic In my repair experience the basic hoover steam vac ($120 wal-mart model) holds up better than the Dual-V Models. I honestly don't know why that is but I find the Turbine assembly goes out more frequently one the Dual-v over the standard spin scrub. I will also add the standard spin...

    Hoover Concept One

To get the scuffs off use magic erasers with rubbing alcohol. The paint marks will practically jump off. And its cheap! Then I use basic windex to get the residue off from the magic eraser. Seth
