    Clip to hold vacuum cord

I bought a 1940s Royal and it has a clip on the electric cord that holds the loose cord and plug together while the cord is wrapped around the handle. I've never seen one of these before. Is it original or an aftermarket piece ? It appears to be original. I'm sure these were lost on most.

    Older Royal wheel post removal

Thanks I will not attempt to remove them......I usually use Evaporust on small parts or use a brass wire wheel.....maybe I'll try to make the electrolysis unit and see how that compares to Evaporust. dave

    Older Royal wheel post removal

Does anyone know if the wheel "studs" come off ? It seems they would be threaded and unscrew but I'm afraid to try fearing damage to the posts and/or breakage. I can clean them without taking them off if I have to.

    A must watch!

Yikes ! When I first started watching, I thought.... Oh, I could do that. As the video continued, it was amazing how precise the guy was at a restoration that is most likely better than new. I doubt he is a "vacuum guy" but probably a restoration specialist like "Handtool Rescue". I did like...

    Carbon brushes question

I bought a handheld on ShopGoodwill....I ran it for 3 seconds and was quite noisy. I started to take it apart and noticed the brushes are pretty much gone. I've never seen brushes like this...they appear to have springs with a copper piece and then the carbon ?? All I have seen are just springs...
