I second these posts but I'd personally add my favorite vacuum of all time the hoover model 750, make parts for all and to compete with bagless machines I'd bring back the original hygienisac. I'd even bring back including but not limited to the model 60 and some machines I'd put the handle...

I personally love any vintage and antique hoover. I personally like the concept and convertible for completely different reasons among all the vintage hoovers.

I test switches with an electrical multi meter and I often do so before I bypass anything. Often using the ohms setting if the switch reads 0 it's fine. If it reads infinity in the on position it's shot and I will check a switch before I send 1 if necessary. Usually I don't personally bypass...

I've personally more recently had great experience with the 44783 belt on all my hoovers that take a round belt except for the coffee can models that require regular oiling. I would love a picture of the part number embossed on the belt in question. Enjoy your hoover 62.

Actually the brush strips winth the 1 screw I saw in the picture is Actually parts 33451 long 33452 short for horsehair and 47421 long 47422 for nylon. I hope this helps.
