Looking for a replacement belt for my hoover model 62 , the round belts available ate too short and difficult to install even after stretching it for a week. the belt was a 44783 a
I need a bigger belt

Use a stretched out Eureka round belt. I keep them just for my vintage Hoovers.

I also use stretched hoover belts on some of my Eurekas! Sometimes soaking the belt in hot water for 30 minutes helps, but if the belt is decidedly too small,time to check with older established repair shops. Maybe bring the machine with you if possible?

I've personally more recently had great experience with the 44783 belt on all my hoovers that take a round belt except for the coffee can models that require regular oiling.
I would love a picture of the part number embossed on the belt in question.
