DC15s are getting rare. Essentially the design of the 15 is a DC14 but on a ball, it manoeuvres worse and a lot heavier than the DC14s.   Plus, expect to pay over £130 for a DC15 in good condition...

If it's a rough household then the DC14 won't last 5 minutes. I know Dyson machines survive many test during prototyping and indeed with production trials of the actual machine when a sample is taken and tested, and yes, they rack up miles back and forth on one test rig, and dropped vertically...

My fav has to be the Numatic NQS250B All Steel commercial vacuum cleaner. Really strongly, solid build quality, tough as a tank!

Sorry Tayyab, but... Although I love Dyson (being my fav brand of vacuum and taking up most of my collection), but there are other brands which are just as good as Dyson. Such as Electrolux. My Turbo 2 Super has a lot better brushroll than most of the Dysons' I have. It's also a lot quieter...
