    Hoover Aria - HELP!

bollocks, I didn't say that. Urgh! tiredness again as well as trying to get the Aria to work! :(   Just look at reply #2 for the circular odd looking component picture, is that the thermal cut out?

    Hoover Aria - HELP!

So the circular what I called 'odd shaped component' is the thermal cut out then? yes?   I preferably want to wire it up as it was just without the re-wind being there, basically still using the switch, suppressor and all other bits n' pieces that still work fine.

    Repair for Dyson Slim?

If this button 'is stuck' would this be the button that disconnects the internal hose or the cleaner head?   I suggest taking off the cleaner head and see what you can do from there. I hope you son can get the 18 Slim fixed and restored, the colour of it looks great btw! :)

    Hoover Aria - HELP!

And finally, here's the switch with a red and black wire going into it. The black wire on the previous photo coming out of the odd component goes into the motor, back out, and into the switch. Then out of the switch, the red wire trails into the motor.   Basically, here's the list of wires...

    Hoover Aria - HELP!

There's this other brown wire which goes into another component which I'm not sure what it is. This brown wire I would assume would correspond with the brown from the mains, however I'm not sure. This is because this brown wire is connected to a black wire straight underneath the connection...

    Hoover Aria - HELP!

The wires in from the mains (UK - 230-260V AC 49.9 - 50.1Hz). For those who don't know, the Brown is the LIVE and the Blue is the NEUTRAL

    Hoover Aria - HELP!

So, about 2 weeks ago the cord re-wind on the Hoover Aria had just had it, but the machine ran fine! But I wanted to get all the cable around, so I didn't have to drag the whole machine over to the nearest socket. The problem with the re-wind was a coil which was jamming the cable re-wind from...

    1992 Electrolux Airstream 1000 Z1490

Great looking Vacuum, Alex! The airstream looks a lot like a Contour in my view, and similar to a 600 series Lux. Kinda like a compromise between the two, almost.

    Dyson DC04 Absolute+ Swap

Why thank you, Steve! In future, just call me by my name; Tim instead of my username, that would be super :)   Love the photo, On yer Bike Sonny! It made me chuckle ;)   Tayyab, Sebo brushrolls aren't crap looking, they're actually really good deep cleaners. Certainly Sebo know how to...

EU Reducing Energy on Vacuums Update

ohhhh yes! This is great news! Finally something good the EU has actually done for once! I hope that Hoover Europe put's an end to those 2300W sensory/dust manager bagless cylinder cleaners. 2300W is tooooooo much!

    Dyson DC04 Absolute+ Swap

I doubt anyone would swap with you if your DC04 has a cracked handle and several problems on it. No one would give you a 33, 26, 15, or 14 for a broken 04, that's not how it works I'm afraid. Be a man and replace parts that needs replacing. The whole point of vacuum collecting is to restore...

    Dyson 240 volt British DC08 canister(near new)

The voltage over here in the UK out of a standard socket is 230-260V AC at 13A, fluctuating at 49.9Hz to 50.1HZ. I think the voltage in America is 120V, not sure.

Dyson DC04 Absolute+ Dual cyclonic HEPA vacuum

I have a 1998 Dyson DC04 Absolute + . Mine was built on the 12th December 1998 in Malmesbury, making mine one of the first DC04s ever made. Mine came from the carboot for £9.50, because you just can't beat the carboot, can you!? Will do a video on my YT channel 'VacManTim' when it's fully...

Dyson DC01 De Stijl Limited edition- Perfect

Ah i wish i had a DC01 again! My grandparents had an 01 De Stijl, though a few years back it went to the tip as it was breaking and was becoming un-suituble for everyday use. Tbh though, the DC01 makes a great collectio piece, but not very good for everyday domestic use!

    Dyson DC07 Bath

The DC14s are allright vacs. However, My 14 Animal is loud, not as a loud as an 07. It does the job though and I like it. But for a study vacuum, that has to go to an all steel Numatic such as an NVQ250 or an NV250, can't beat those Tayyab i'm afraid!

    Dyson DC07 Bath

Well, Tayyab, DC04s aren't crap. I know many that use them pretty much everyday. For example, my youth worker and the local youth club has a DC04 Yellow 'brush control' and she loves it. She and her husband bought it brand new in 2002 i think. Had one service and that's it. Not bad going :) The...
