The Dirt containter gasket Is a black rubber gasket that sits around the top of the dirt container, then the motor unit sits on top of that.

I second the above Since discovering the unstoppables I use them quite frequently.   The dryer sheet does work as well, however, the exhaust from the Kirby is not heated, as a bypass, direct air machine; the cooling air is exhausted towards the floor.

Cole is right Hoover was owned by Maytag at the time.  The Satellite was a rebadge of the constellation.   Love mine by the way, just wished they had given it a power nozzle option.
