Vegassucks,
I am delighted my advise assisted you in installing your GN bag correctly. It's incredibly kind that you'd take the time out of your busy day learning how to use your Miele to think of me. A picture truly is worth a thousand words and I'll cherish it for many years to come...
"Piano or Vacuum God or whatever you call yourself! YOUR WRONG! But I do appreciate your attempt to fix something that is not broken. The bag is in correctly, PERIOD."
For my sanity and the sanity of Vacuumland, I'm finished with you, Vegassucks.
Sadly, I cannot "fix" an...

I debated even responding to you as you seem to think you know everything. However, as an industry professional and life-long hobbyist, I'd like to point out the source of all your issues as it's blatantly obvious...

"...[the silicone gasket] is only a seal to prevent leakage when taking the bag out to change it."
Thank you for the laugh, vegassucks! I suggest you cut the collar from a genuine bag and observe it from the reverse. Report back with your findings...
"If you believe that the bag...
I own the top-of-the-line models of the S2, S5, S6, S7 and S8. I can honestly say the S8990 is the greatest vacuum to come from the factory at Bielefeld. However, the bragging rights and convenience features doesn't make it a better performing vacuum.
As Chad mentioned, if you can negate...
I'm sorry, vegassucks, but I do not need to find it in writing. The silicone gasket on the Miele AirClean bag forms an airtight seal to the spout on the bag door provided the bag is installed correctly.
If the bag door is opened and closed repeatedly without the bag being pushed back into...
The silicone gasket on the bag opening forms an airtight seal to the spout when the bag door is closed and the bag is inserted correctly. This means dust and debris will not leak between the bag collar and spout when inside the machine provided the bag is inserted correctly. If the bag is not...
The bag leakage shown occurs when the machine has been used after bag door is opened and the collar on the bag has not been pushed back into its slot. Therefore, you always make sure the bag collar is all the way in the slot before closing the bag door and using the machine...
IMHO, there's two machines you should never use an aftermarket bag or filter on: Miele and Filter Queen.
While the 3M (EHCPNA) bags tend to be the better aftermarket, they still leak fine dust into the bag chamber on a Miele. The genuine AirClean do not. The aftermarket HEPA's use inferior...
Speaking for North America...
As long as the Miele is equipped with the SEB 228 (AKA Wessel Werk EBK 360) or SEB 236 (based on Wessel Werk EBK 340), it would be amongst the best cleaning canisters available today.
"Because British vacuums, are the best. End of."
Hmmmm, I could have sworn Dyson's were merely "designed" in Malmesbury, yet made in Senai, Malaysia...
Sorry, but that doesn't make a Dyson a British vacuum. Numatic, however, IS a British vacuum.
Ametek Lamb 119474-00...
If you cut off the shaft where the belt would normally ride, those Ametek 119474's make powerful replacements for the 116311. The 119474 is more powerful due to its higher RPM and tapered fan, but has a shorter lifespan.
Numatic machines use two-stage Ametek Lamb motors. I dare you to find a "$100 shop vac" currently available that's powered by a two-stage motor...
It really is amazing what a face and a name can do to create respect amongst commercial vacuum users. Numatic machines, while extremely well built...
Sorry, but the Filter Queen vacuum is neither cleared nor recognized by the FDA as a Class II Medical Device. You're confusing that with the Defender.
Furthermore, no matter how careful you are emptying the bin on the Filter Queen, air currents created by lifting the bin will stir up...
In my experience...
this sounds like an issue with the cord rewind. Specifically, the spool has likely come away from the contacts located on the stationary part of the assembly.
Check the continuity with a wire tester first to confirm. Start by going from the plug to spade connectors in the...
The only Domel motor used by Miele is the one that powers the Wessel Werk manufactured SEB 213 and 217.
Miele Vortex vacuum motors are made in-house at Miele's Euskirchen factory.

"I cannot understand that whilst you can get a new Dyson motor pattern part for around £20, you wont find a pattern motor for a modern Miele vac."
The reason is due to Dyson using "off the shelf" Panasonic and YDK motors. These motors are shared by other vacuum manufacturers.
Miele, however...
While the intake air might be filtered through a HEPA filter, by moving the Airblade into the tap itself, it will aerosolize liquid inside of the sink (blowing germs and bacteria out of the sink, too) where it will become airborne and deposit onto your hands and surrounding surfaces.

It sold through independent vacuum stores for approximately $150.00, but I believe it's now discontinued.
At that price in our market, there are better lightweight choices available at the same price point or less...
This machine was sold in North America as the Dust Care "Evolution Lite". Its design was based off the early Panasonic "baby" JetFlo upright.
It's a poor quality machine and is best avoided...
