    Question about Heritage 2

to remove the bag top, there are 2 metal tabs on the underside of the hanger. Reach under the plastic piece, and carefully bend both tabs outward, then slide the bag off. Reverse those steps to put the hanger back on. Simple! :)

    Another restoration project!

Aw, man! I just looove it when someone sells you a vacuum without warning you of all of the broken parts. Then again, if they did that, it probably wouldn't sell. If you want to find a new bag assembly, or even just piece a new fill tube assembly together, check out Kirby Needs on eBay. Kent is...

Have you ever gone without washing Dyson filter(s)?

sptyks, Didn't Jim Kirby invent the "Domestic Cyclone", which used water separation?

    Another restoration project!

Yay! The Heritage II is my favorite model! You have just bought one of the best Kirbys ever made! (I think so, anyways.) It will probably only need a quick tune-up; check the brush roll, belt, headlight, bag, and the fill tube. I mention the fill tube because the one in my first HII split open...

    1950s singer vacuum cleaner commerical

Very cool! I gotta get me a "Magic Mite"! They're pretty common, so yeah, I'd say they were the most popular hand vac in the world! I also did a little check with an inflation calculator, that Roll-A-Magic canister cost $79.95 new, right? If it were still being sold today, it would cost...

    Favorite Vacuum

My favorite? Oh, jeez, you're gonna make me pick just one?  I would have to say my favorite cleaner in my collection is either my Hoover 300 'Special', or my Eureka ESP 6.5 Amp upright. If you want to hear and feel deep agitation, you've gotta see that ESP.    I don't have a picture of the...

    Question about Heritage 2

Rug Renovator The Rug Renovator was introduced in 1965 with the Dual Sanitronic 50. As for your Heritage II, the RR's that would be compatible with it are: -Heritage -Heritage II -Heritage II-Legend -Legend II   Hope this helps!

    Electrolux Question

Model XXX bag I have tried so many times to get a paper bag to work well in my Model 30. Every one has either restricted airflow badly or made it impossible to latch the front cover on properly. Now I've just stuck with using the cloth bag on its own. I wonder if you could cut a Hoover Style A...

    Kirby Tech Drive

Kirby is awesome. The newer models are pretty heavy, I'd even say they're excessively heavy. The TechDrive adds a lot of weight, but it is pretty dang awesome. The lightest models are the late 500 series and the Dual Sanitronic 50 and 80. I've never used a DS80, but I have a DS50, and it has...

    hoover 700

best of luck in getting your 700 restored, hoover61. The old Hoover uprights are too cool. I have a 300 'Special' that was factory rebuilt a long time ago. I finally got an original shake-out bag for it, and it has awesome airflow now. The 300 is a pretty old machine, but it cleans like...

    Hoover Convertible U4127 Bag

just looked at a parts diagram for the U4127, looks like you need Style C bottom fill bags. They are everywhere, but your best bet would be to find some NOS bags. The new ones are junk, and don't filter worth a dang. Check my link, these are the bags you want...

    Hoover Convertible U4127 Bag

it depends on the fill tube. Vacuumboy23, is the fill tube inside the bag short with a spring around it, or does it come up to the top of the bag and look sort of like a Kirby fill tube?

    My Kirby's

KirbyClassicIII, could you check a thread for me? A gentleman is wondering if tools are available for a commercial Royal Everlast upright. It's in Contemporary, the thread is titled "Royal Everlast 8100 Attachments".

    Royal Everlast 8100 Attachments?

Preston, I know that there are tools available for the earlier uprights, but I'm sure they're still available for the newest ones. You'll have to check with Ben Edge (KirbyClassicIII). He's the Royal Guru.

    Royal Everlast 8100 Attachments?

Well, kirbyloverdan, maybe, just maybe, they actually WANT to use the attachments with their upright. Consider that before you go around telling people that they can't get something because you think it's too much work. It's not your Royal, is it? Didn't think so.
