I gave one of these to my partners family for Christmas. They are a little rough on appliances so i figured this would be great for them. so far they love it.

They had a dyson before that was not working as well as it should but it did have a way to clean their stairs.

Are there attachments available that would be able to do this for the Commercial Royals? and if so where can i get them?

Well, kirbyloverdan,

maybe, just maybe, they actually WANT to use the attachments with their upright. Consider that before you go around telling people that they can't get something because you think it's too much work. It's not your Royal, is it? Didn't think so.

Preston,

I know that there are tools available for the earlier uprights, but I'm sure they're still available for the newest ones. You'll have to check with Ben Edge (KirbyClassicIII). He's the Royal Guru.

Dan, that was really ignorant & rude for you to say that! Some people actually prefer using their upright with tools instead of having a canister. And of course, there are lots of people that don't want 2 separate machines or a canister with a PN cluttering their closet. Plus you can always use the Royal as a blower, something that is becoming a thing of the past with most new canisters sold today.

I know I don't have a pony in this race but. .

I don't think Dan was trying to be rude or arrogant.  I think he was only offering advice that would make it easier for them.

You are, however, right some (most) people don't want several vacuums in the closet, that is why they buy attachments.

In any case, I am sure they will like the Royal.

Thank you! I will keep an eye out on that thread.

What small vac would you recommend? I thought that would be a good idea too.

Use the Eureka Mighty Mite vacuum as the companion canister to the Royal. The MM would work well for that purpose.Wish someone would make Filtrete type bags for the MM.The MM has a VERY strong motor and can suck the fine dust thru its thin stock paper bags.I have seen work contractors use MM's as a "cleanup" vacuum after an equipment install job.At our transmitter plant the contractor twho installed the new Dummy Load for our transmitters used a MM for cleaning up the concrete dust after having to cut a shallow trench in the floor for the loads ground strap. That poor MM was pretty sad after ingesting the concrete dust-motor sounded very rough. Was new when the workers started the job. After the job the poor thing was heaved.Bet if Filtrete bags were available and used--the MM motor would be fine.
