    Wanted: Kirby 500505G 13" Brushroll

I have a D80 with the single row brushroll and want to see how the dual row brushroll would perform. The only issue is, everyone seems to be out of them currently. I have found a good price on one at Hesco: https://www.hescoinc.com/kirby-brush-roll-heritage-1hdd80-small-head-genuine-500505 BUT...

Your Opinion: Most Powerful Electrolux/Aerus Lux to look for

My Best Guess With The 12 Amp Motor was a drop in type from a Perfect C103 canister. It's the only reference I can find for an Electrolux canister motor that was rated for 1400+ Watts. Bill

what's going on with Kirby HEPA bags?

I noticed various inconsistencies a few years ago BTW, I've never seen H13 rated Kirby HEPA bags. Didn't know they were available. Bill

Your Opinion: Most Powerful Electrolux/Aerus Lux to look for

Hi Bill, It's Bill For the Marquise 1521 8.4 Amp (standard motor) I've measured: Using HEPA bags Canister End = 103 CFM Hose End (Vinyl) = 84.8 CFM Nozzle (spinning) = 69.3 CFM These are the only two Luxes I've tested other than the aforementioned hot-rodded 12 Amp Marquise. Bill

    Amodel

I've had to change several grey Lexan fans due to shattering and excessive cracking. No issues so far and as you know, I just completed a refurb on a Dual Sanitronic 80. I definitely vote for the white Amodel fan. Bill

2003 Miele Solaris S514 Airflow Losses

Sure, I Have Many Reasons BTW, I'm at 837 feet above sea level, so based on: http://www.asesystems.com/vacuum-lifters/the-effect-of-atmospheric-pressure-on-vacuum-level/ The differences would be much greater (>13%) than what's been discussed here so far, assuming no other mitigating factors...

Your Opinion: Most Powerful Electrolux/Aerus Lux to look for

Most Powerful Canister I've Ever Measured... Is just as Blackheart (Devin) said: a hot-rodded (12 Amp motor swap) Electrolux Marquise 1521. Using a HEPA bag I tested: Canister = 146 CFM Hose = 115 CFM Nozzle = 88 CFM

    Hoarder!

I think a better question might be... Did you know you had 5 vacuums in the trunk? Maybe you merely wanted to be ready for some major cleaning wherever you were driving. Bill

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

Les, The Magic Kirby Pixies From Cleveland showed me how to use a screwdriver correctly so somehow the D80 got back together again.

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

EUREKA! or maybe I should say KIRBY! The D80 lives AGAIN! While you will see a video fairly soon, the issue ended up being the green carbon brush wire. At the point where it connects to the brush holder, there was an intermittent connection. AND the connection point to the power switch was...

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

The story so far... I think there might be some misconception about the wiring. Specifically, the D80 was working 100% before disassembly for polishing. BUT, I never removed any wires, wiring harness, coils or power switch. I did (carefully) remove the speed switch from the front fan case but...

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

For everyone that has made a positive contribution I thank you and will follow up when I next get the chance. Remember, I do have a full time programming job and a family so my time to complete this machine isn't infinite. And for the naysayers and haters (you know who you are), let me give...

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

As Time Permits I'll perform more testing. BUT, I have a hard time believing that coil functionality goes "poof!" simply by carefully removing an armature. There could be micro-cracks in the various lead wires and/or where they connect into the switches though. Since both coils appear to...

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

Some Continuity Testing Later... And here's what I found so far. I've checked this with two D80 switches (of course both could be bad I suppose). High Speed = Green and Yellow wires shorted PLUS White and Red wires shorted Low Speed = Red and Yellow wires shorted ALL switch...

    Rainbow E2 Platinum Airflow Losses

conpactc9guy I've been looking for a Compact/Tristar machine for sometime, but they are very rare here (never seen one used in 4 years so far). Blackheart has tested an EXL and discovered it has 66 nozzle CFM and 97 hose CFM. I don't know what an AP200 can do. Remember, suction cannot clean...

    Rainbow E2 Platinum Airflow Losses

Once Again Alex, You Give Nothing But Excuses. No evidence, no proof whatsoever. @vaclab I have definitely demonstrated that I understand physics behind vacuum cleaners and other things I don't know why that came into question? <-- because you still don't understand the difference between...
