My Best Guess With The 12 Amp Motor

was a drop in type from a Perfect C103 canister. It's the only reference I can find for an Electrolux canister motor that was rated for 1400+ Watts.

I bought a perfect c10?.(Metal one) Had way too much suction for above floor cleaning with attachments and 


also with the hard surface tool for floors. They both stuck to whatever surface you were cleaning.


It felt like a tug of war just to clean......I also missed the automatic control dial and automatic shut


off when the bag was full. I saw no flaws to its construction, it seemed to be well made, I took mine


to goodwill.....One more thing, with that much air flow, you had to use the hepa bags designed for


that cleaner. I know people on the forum use these bags in the regular luxes, but the collar of the bag


was thicker. I tried using one in one of my genuine luxes, but felt I had to force the bag door shut to


use them. They went to goodwill as well.

Perfect vacuums and PN

I have both the Perfect C101 and C103. The C101 is a metal canister, looks very similar to the metal luxes. It uses a two stage Ametek motor and I think this motor was also used in some central vacuums which is why it is so powerful. I'm not sure if that one is made anymore, it may have been discontinued. The C103 is a plastic model and uses a one stage motor. Interestingly, both models take the hose for the metal luxes. The Perfect HEPA bags are very good, I use them in my Perfect and Lux models.
The electric connection on these hoses is a standard two pin so if you're not happy with the Lux PN, you could pair it up with a PN from Sebo, Lindhaus or Wessel-Werk. I have tried this and it works great. I know some people prefer to only use the attachments that are made for a machine, I tend to take the approach of using whatever works the best, if that means combining different machines and attachments, I'm fine with that. I think that's known as a frankenvac.
